BACK TO MY ROOT?
Obviously, I'm an Igbo man and I cherish being that irrespective of all disparaging sentimentalities from detractors of Igboism. Christian priesthood has not contradicted my identification as an Igbo man. However, the growing trend of "going back to our roots" has become a subject of deep concern as many proponents of the same do not even have the faintest understanding of what it actually entails. Culture is convenient to be defined as people's way of life. Culture as a system is identification of one's unique natural origin which also encompasses original language, color, food, dresses, and such as distinguishes one person or a community of persons from another. Religion may be cultural but to an extent because it can cut across mere anthropological culture. It is in itself a culture because it is a system of belief. This is why there are concepts like "acculturation, enculturation and inculturation" all in the bid to see to the synergizing of culture and religious experiences and expressions.

"Going back to my root" doesn't and shouldn't translate to mean abandoning my Christian faith!
"Going back to my root" doesn't translate to syncretism in which core distinct elements of two different religions are unequally yoked together. That's unfair. Going back to my root is identifying with your people's normal and natural uniqueness. Spirituality is not always cultural because it's objectively communal and subjectively personal. I'm an Igbo man and I'm a Christian.

On the 14th day of the 6th month many years ago, a child was born.
He grew up to become a man who would not only defend God's kingdom, but diverge knowledge to a multi- national populace.

Meet him;

The man whose presence radiates wisdom.
The man ever hungry for knowledge.
The man who is an ambassador for change.
The man who is a priest forever.
A man with strategic thinking, aimed at solving problems.
A man passionate about youth development.

You now know him!

Let's acknowledge this great sacrifice that redeemed humanity.
“for while we were still sinners, Christ came and died for us ” Romans 5:8.

We all owe our lives to him, therefore let us live in accordance with his laws and in respect for the ultimate sacrifice.

Good Friday: A Moment of Reflection
As the darkness falls and the silence speaks, we remember the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus' words on the cross echo through the ages:

"Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." - Luke 23:34

"Today you will be with me in paradise." - Luke 23:43

"My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" - Mark 15:34

"It is finished." - John 19:30

"Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." - Luke 23:46

In these words, we find forgiveness, promise, sacrifice, and surrender.
Apostle Paul stated it in his letter to the Romans (5:8) “For while we were still sinners, Christ came and died for us ”. It's only through this sacrifice that true forgiveness was made available to man.
Now the big question is 👇
What have you been doing with the redeemed life that came at a priceless cost?
Remember Jesus Christ is saying to you today; I did this for you, what have you done for me?

In all,may we find peace, hope, and love in the story of Good Friday.

The only tomorrow there is to pray about is the fruit from today's efforts. There's most probably no tomorrow for the lazy person who failed to plant. If you think your background is not good enough to support your visions, pause the vision first and create the background of choice and your vision will naturally materialize!

LEARN TO SHOW GRATITUDE TODAY

Gratitude is the practice of appreciating and acknowledging the good things in our lives. It's a simple yet powerful virtue that can have a profound impact on our well-being and relationships.

Most relationships has been shattered due to the lack of gratitude from either personalities involved in it. Expressing appreciation for a good done triggers the urge of the doer to do more. This saying is reflected in the popular Igbo proverb “ekele onye akidi na nke o gworo, o gwo wa ozo, o tinye mmezi”
Gratitude transforms lives. "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good" - Psalm 107:1. Practice gratitude by journaling, sharing thanks, and mindfulness. Reframe negative thoughts, find the silver lining, and cultivate resilience. Focus on the good, rejoice always, and give thanks in all circumstances - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Develop a grateful heart and watch your life transform. Experience joy, peace, and contentment by focusing on God's goodness and love.

Show gratitude today, show appreciation today despite how small the deed is.
A positive change is possible.
