TEACHING IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPACTFUL PROFESSIONS EVERYONE SHOULD ENGAGE IN

Teaching as a profession is one of the glorious jobs any person should do. It is a profession that gives everlasting fulfillment.

Talking of fulfillment in teaching profession, where does it come from?

In 2022, I attended retirement programme of a teacher, Mr Akobi Joshua. I got late to the venue because it was done in one of the small towns (I can remember its name) in Osun State.
It was few minutes I got there that his old-students wanted to reward him. I was amazed when people from different professions came out.
Lawyers (SAN), Doctors, Engineers, Bankers, Teachers, Nurses, Writers. Old and young. At some point I began to wonder; I was asking myself "at what time in life did this man start teaching to have taught people of these great calibers and ages"

They gifted him different gifts and talked about him on and on and on.

It was one of the greatest occasions I have attended till date.

As a teacher, do not just look at the negative circumstances that surround the profession today, rather look at what the future holds.
Think about positive changes and countless lives you are likely to impact in the profession.

And I can assure you that, at the long run, joy and fulfillment is yours.

For effective teachings in the class, be on the lookout for our English Grammar Books from basic 1 to 5, Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning (QR and VR) that we are currently working on.

Thank you as you have decided to patronize us!

Have a joyful teaching profession!

WHAT WILL YOUR PUPILS/ STUDENTS REMEMBER ABOUT YOU YEARS AFTER GRADUATION?

After many years outside classroom walls, I still remember some of my teachers. Vividly, I remember my primary and secondary school teachers; some years ago, I wrote a book which I dedicated to them for their impact in my life and for making my existence meaningful to myself and to the society.

In my primary school days, my class teacher (I can't remember her name) always gave all her pupils attention, she didn't teach for the sake of teaching but because she wanted to infuse knowledge and impact lives.
She would STUDY her pupils, UNDERSTAND them and make FRIEND with them. She had a logical method with which she infused knowledge in her pupils. Her effective teaching skills usually created a friendly and interactive sessions.

In my secondary school days, our Vice Principal, Mrs. Adeleke, was not actually meant to teach. Her position was just to supervise and make sure all works were done accordingly. But this woman would not rest. The school did not have a literature teacher, there was no one to fill in the space, but she did.
She did not only teach, she created an holistic environment with her students. She understood challenges each student was facing, came in with her support and also advised everyone.
She was not just a teacher, she was a listener! A Legend!

She understood and mastered the cognitive, effective and psychomotor skills of the teaching profession.

She understood that a teacher should not only teach in the class, she must study her environment.

As a teacher, teach beyond the classroom walls; understand your pupils/ students and leave a good impression in their hearts.

AS A BASIC OR SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHER,
HOW DO YOU TEACH YOUR PUPILS/STUDENTS LITERATURE BOOK IN THE CLASS?

Reading literature books in the class have many advantages. Apart from the fact that it helps to improve pupils/students' spoken English, sentence formation, improve vocabulary and teach pupils how to answer questions correctly, reading literature books have great impact on children upbringing and in positioning them to the right path.

Every children literature book is written particularly to either solve a problem or point out the ills of the society with a view to correcting them or to open readers eyes to the new trend of the society that may guide there ways of life.

Every literature book is written in other to pass across an information and moral lessons that will help straightening the children's future. Literature books are written to teach societal norms and values that will enable them to differentiate between RIGHT and WRONG.

It does not end there, teaching literature book in the class improves children's boldness, opens their inquisitive minds, and enable them to think creatively to challenge any difficulty that comes their ways.

As a teacher, always keep them motivated by telling the beauty and teachings of literature book. Let each class leave them with eagerness to learn more.

BE PROPERLY GUIDED.

WHY ARE YOUR PUPILS/ STUDENTS' SPOKEN ENGLISH IS NOT CORRECT?

I have been to many schools, saw pupils/students speaking English language that cannot be found in the dictionary. The kind of spoken English that does not give glory to the teacher who teaches English language and the school as well.

It is not a big deal that your pupils/students cannot speak correct English language because that's why they are in the school. Isn't it? They are there to learn!

At the same time, it a big deal! For your pupils/students' spoken English to not be inline with the use of grammar is an embarrassment to the school.

Because when people out there are hearing him/her speaking his nonsensical English language, they will ask:

WHICH SCHOOL IS HE GOING?

And if his spoken English is great too, people will asked the same question:

WHICH SCHOOL IS HE/SHE GOING?

Train your pupils/students to be sound academically. Let them stand out to be the BEST among the BESTs.

It gives glory, honor and progress to your school.
