CONTINUATION
1. KNOWING THE LORD
Becoming a Christian requires that you know some things about Christ. People spend hours, days, months and years in studying and knowing their spouse character and the likes but find it difficult to study and know Christ Jesus in a deeper way. Spending more time to know Christ makes you a different person entirely. It adds value to every area of ones life.
The basis for knowing the Lord is through the SCRIPTURES. The Word of God remains the only way to know Christ and have a lasting spiritual encounter.
Through the SCRIPTURES you know the following about Christ:
1. Studying His Character
2. Studying His Ways
3. Learning His Power

HOW DO I POSITION FOR AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE WORD OF GOD
The Word of God will not profit one's life unless; you are:
1. BE BORN AGAIN. MK4:11
Salvation is not an ideology but an experience.
Born again is being united with through faith in Him and commitment to Him through the works of redemption. 2Cor5:17
Born again is the transformation that results into an entirely new being. Gal6:15
2. BE DESPERATE FOR AN ENCOUNTER. Luke 19:1-10
The tipping point of hunger is when you get into action and knock down the heaven door.
Zaccheus do not regard his stature as hindrance but was desperate to see Jesus by climbing a tree. In every prophetic moment, there are catch up moment. Moment of divine stirring, where the spirit beckons on the hungry soul.
Elisha would not leave his master until that glory rub on him. He was desperate enough to receive the mantle and double portion of his master grace and power. No casual approach holds a future. Be desperate enough.
3. BE SPIRITUAL. Rev 1:10, Rev 4:1
Do not wander in God's presence with carnal mind. In order to partner with the spirit realm and have a supernatural encounter, you must be spiritual minded.

INTRODUCTION
-Spiritual encounters are spiritual journey that strengthens your conviction about God- His person, character, integrity and nature.
-Spiritual encounters are testament of God's power and sovereignty demonstrated and revealed to man.
-Spiritual encounters activates the reality of God's Word as a weapon of war. Ps39:3
The dimensions of God was revealed to the Patriarch of faith through their encounters with God. In His names wrapped is doings and the Patriarch of faith grasped that reality and enjoyed its dividends.
-Spiritual encounters are direct interaction between a person and God, angels or other spiritual beings. These encounters can take forms including visions, dreams, audible voices or physical manifestation.
Spiritual encounters often serve as pivotal moments in a person's life, providing guidance, revelation or a call to action.

WHAT ARE INSIGHTS TO SPIRITUAL ENCOUNTERS
1. KNOWING CHRIST
Act2:42; 1John1:3
The goal of the Christian life is to know Christ.
Knowing Christ is not only a knowledge of facts but a knowledge gained through experience that in its surpassing greatness transforms the entire person.
God deserves that His children know Him intimately to foster a very close and unbroken relationship. God demonstrated this in the garden of Eden until man sinfully separated himself from God. In every dispensation, God looks forward to whosoever will yield himself to have a personal relationship with Him.
