IN FAIRNESS TO K1
I have a different view to the brouhaha over 'k1' statement emanated from K1 De Ultimate.
No one is exempted from uttering some words against some individuals or a group of people during a closed-door discussion which we all know are not palatable for the public consumption.
There are many things we all do behind closed door that we can never try in the public. Let us consider the privacy of where the statement was uttered. That is one.
Secondly, if we sincerely watched and listened to the whole clip, we would realize Mayegun was only busy outlining the program ahead of the event to an in-house person. He never mean to disparage Alfas. He only and unconsciously uttered that word as a 'Lagos boy' while expressing himself.
Thirdly, we are all emphasizing, chorusing this word made in privacy and no one talks of the 'spirit' who blew it out to the public. I think it is not fair enough.
Lastly, tendering an apology for a statement that's not considered offensive by the sayer should not be our concern.
K1 is not a perfect man, just like everyone of us. Therefore, he should not be unjustly crucified for an offense that me and you are also committing on daily basis.
Please, reflect on this.
Thank you.
