HISTORIC ROYAL VISIT: ELERIN OF ERIN OSUN PAYS COURTESY VISIT ON THE ALAAFIN OF OYO.

In a landmark display of cultural unity and royal diplomacy, The Elerin of Erin-Osun, His Royal Majesty, Oba Yusuf Adekunle Omoloye Oyagbodun, today paid a historic courtesy visit on the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, at the royal palace, Oyo township, Oyo state, South West Nigeria.

The visit, marked by pageantry and deep-rooted Yoruba traditions, was aimed at strengthening the enduring bonds of friendship, cooperation, and cultural solidarity between the Erin of Erin-Osun and Oyo kingdoms.

The Alaafin of Oyo warmly received the Elerin and his entourage in a ceremonial way, which showcased the grandeur and richness of Yoruba heritage. Both monarchs emphasized the importance of preserving cultural values and fostering unity among traditional rulers in order to promote peace, development, and the well-being of their communities.

During the royal gathering, the two leaders engaged in meaningful dialogue on enhancing inter-kingdom relations. Discussions included collaborative efforts on cultural exchange, economic development, and strategies for ensuring peaceful coexistence across Yoruba land.

Oba Yusuf Adekunle expressed appreciation for the warm welcome by Alaafin and highlighted the value of strong inter-royal relationships in advancing collective progress. In response, Alaafin acknowledged the significance of the visit and praised it as a powerful gesture of goodwill and mutual respect.

The Elerin was accompanied by His Royal Majesty Oba Jimoh Adebowale Adesoye Adetona I, the Elerin of Erin Ile and Chairman of the Oyun Traditional Council, along with his wife, Queen Sherifa Adesoye also present were other esteemed traditional rulers including the Onijagbo of Ijagbo, the Olojoku of Ojoku, the Oninaja of Inaja, and members of the Elerin in Council. The Olomo Oba of Erin Ile was also part of the distinguished delegation.

The royal visit reaffirmed the shared cultural legacy and unity among Yoruba kingdoms, serving as a powerful reminder of the importance of tradition, leadership, and collaboration in shaping the future.

Actor Odunlade Adekola’s father, Pastor B.A. Adekola, was a respected man of God who served in the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC). He started his ministry many years ago after he gave his life fully to God. He was known for preaching the word of God with passion and truth. Many people looked up to him as a spiritual father and leader.

Pastor Adekola was blessed with children, including his popular son, Odunlade Adekola, who is a well-known Yoruba actor. He supported his children and guided them in the way of God. He raised his family with love and discipline.

Sadly, Pastor B.A. Adekola di£d today. His d£ath has brought pain to his family, church members, and loved ones. He will be remembered for his service to God, his wisdom, and the good legacy he left behind.

May his soul rest in peace 🙏🏿
