Good morning, my dear beloved saints of God. Our passage today is taken from Philippians 3:14, and it reads: I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

Beloved, the passage today is so clear that there is a prize that we are going to receive from God at the end of our sojourn here in the earth. For everyone must stand at the judgment seat of Christ to receive from Him rewards for the things we have done in the body while here on earth, whether they be good or bad - 2 Cor. 5:10.

This reward is what will determine where one would spend his or her eternity after this life. But the significant factor here is that each individual is the one who shall determine what kind of eternity it would be either with God or not. Some would think that it is God who determines it because eternity belongs to Him. But that will not be the case. What God did was to make eternity available to everyone, but He has put in place certain things which must be carried out before one could have eternity in Him. It is therefore dependent on the choices each person makes and not on God.

But we must know that whatever decision an individual makes here on earth, eternity is always and fully involved. No matter how small that decision may seem to be, there is always a semblance of eternity attached to it. At the end of the day, God's final decision will be a review of the collation of the various choices and decisions we made as we sojourned here on earth. This review of our various events while here on earth is what will determine your place in eternity.

No wonder Apostle Paul us here admonishes that we need to press on towards the goal, which is to win the prize that awaits us. In other words, you have to run straight focused on the goal, not allowing distractions along the way; continue to pursue and work towards achieving the mark set by God; keeping your eyes fixed on the goal and on the prize.
