THE TRUE RICHES
Text: Luke 16:11 — “If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?”
INTRODUCTION
There is a level of wealth in God’s kingdom that transcends money, material possession, or social status.
This realm is called “The True Riches.”
While the world measures wealth by what a man has, God measures it by what a man is and carries.
True riches represent the spiritual and eternal dimensions of wealth—divine resources, wisdom, and grace that money cannot buy.
Many believers chase material prosperity while neglecting the deeper riches that sustain both life and destiny.
1️⃣ UNDERSTANDING THE MEANING OF TRUE RICHES
a. Definition:
True riches are the eternal treasures of God—His wisdom, presence, revelation, anointing, and divine trust—that empower a man to manage both material and spiritual wealth for His kingdom.
📖 Proverbs 3:13–16 — Wisdom brings durable riches and honor.
📖 Ephesians 3:8 — “...the unsearchable riches of Christ.”
b. False vs. True Riches

2️⃣ THE COMPONENTS OF TRUE RICHES
1. The Riches of God’s Presence
Nothing compares to carrying the presence of God.
📖 Exodus 33:14–15 — “If Thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.”
📖 Psalm 16:11 — “In Thy presence is fullness of joy...”
2. The Riches of Revelation and Wisdom
Divine insight is wealth; one idea from God can change generations.
📖 Proverbs 24:3–4 — “Through wisdom is a house builded... by knowledge shall its chambers be filled with precious riches.”
3. The Riches of Righteousness
Righteous living brings peace, favor, and divine endorsement.
📖 Proverbs 10:22 — “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it.”
4. The Riches of Grace
Grace empowers us to become what we cannot by strength.
📖 2 Corinthians 8:9 — “Though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor...”
5. The Riches of Faith
Faith is heaven’s currency. True wealth begins with unshakable faith in God.
📖 James 2:5 — “Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith?”
6. The Riches of Good Works and Generosity
True riches flow through those who serve, not hoard.
📖 1 Timothy 6:17–19 — “...that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute...”
3️⃣ GOD’S SYSTEM FOR ENTRUSTING TRUE RICHES
Before God can trust a man with true riches, He tests him with “the unrighteous mammon” (material resources).
Faithfulness with small things qualifies you for greater treasures.
📖 Luke 16:10–12 — Faithfulness is the gateway to divine trust.
📖 Matthew 25:21 — “Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.”
Conditions for Receiving True Riches:
1. Faithfulness in stewardship
2. Integrity in dealings
3. Purity of motive
4. Sacrificial love for the Kingdom
5. Submission to divine instruction
4️⃣ WHY TRUE RICHES ARE GREATER THAN EARTHLY RICHES
1. They cannot be stolen — Matthew 6:19–21
2. They influence eternity — Revelation 3:18
3. They empower both spiritual and financial dominion
4. They outlive the possessor — Hebrews 11:4
5. They draw men to Christ through impact — Matthew 5:16
True riches make a man relevant on earth and rewarded in eternity.

Solomon: Wisdom that attracted wealth — 1 Kings 3:12–13
Joseph: Divine insight preserved nations — Genesis 41:38–41
Daniel: Excellence and revelation — Daniel 6:3
Paul: Apostolic revelation — Ephesians 3:8
Jesus Christ: The embodiment of all riches — Colossians 2:3
6️⃣ THE ETERNAL VALUE OF TRUE RICHES
True riches transform nations
True riches draw divine attention
True riches preserve generations
True riches prepare you for eternal rewards

7️⃣ HOW TO RECEIVE TRUE RICHES
1. Desire God above all things — Matthew 6:33
2. Pursue divine wisdom — Proverbs 8:18–21
3. Walk in humility and obedience — Deuteronomy 8:11–18
4. Be faithful in your stewardship — Luke 16:11–12
5. Honor God with your substance — Proverbs 3:9–10
6. Stay pure in heart and motive — Matthew 5:8
7. Love people and serve the kingdom — 1 John 3:17

1. What do I truly value more — God’s presence or possessions?
2. Can God trust me with true riches?
3. How do I measure wealth — by what I have or by who I am in Christ?
4. Am I faithful with what I currently manage?
5. How am I using my material resources to pursue eternal purpose?
9️⃣ PRAYER POINTS
1. Father, open my eyes to understand the mystery of true riches — Ephesians 1:17–18.
2. Lord, deliver me from the deception of materialism — 1 Timothy 6:9–10.
3. Empower me to be faithful in every little thing You’ve given me — Luke 16:10.
4. Lord, fill me with wisdom and revelation that money cannot buy — Colossians 1:9.
5. Father, let my life manifest the unsearchable riches of Christ — Ephesians 3:8.
6. Grant me grace to use wealth for eternal impact — Matthew 6:20.
7. Lord, make me a custodian of divine resources in my generation — Haggai 2:8.
