Happy Sunday, everyone!

Warm greetings from the Unstoppable Kid Readers community!

Ever since the kids in our club read the book "I Am Grateful" by Tracy Johansen, they have started to appreciate things more.

Before reading it, some kids didn’t really think about how lucky they are to have things like a roof over their heads, cozy beds, and their families and friends.

Sometimes kids can feel entitled and forget that not everyone is as lucky as they are.

The book made many of them feel emotional, and I felt that way too!

Are you having a hard time helping your kids see all the hard work you do for them?

"I Am Grateful" can help show them how to be thankful.

When was the last time your child completed a book and reviewed it?

21/06/2025

Growing up, I loved reading and writing all kinds of stories. I remember writing one about "the wicked step-mother."

Looking back now, I sometimes wonder if that’s why I have a step-mother! Just a thought!

As a child, I wasn’t really encouraged to read or write more, and before I knew it, I had lost that excitement.

This is why I want to remind you that your child needs a push. You can’t just leave things to chance and say, “Oh! This one likes reading, but the other one doesn’t.”

Cultivating the habit of reading is a choice you have to make for them as a parent, and trust me, they’ll be grateful you did.

Simple actions like buying more books, making out time for reading sessions together, or if you’re really busy, registering them in a book club can make a world of difference!

With a book club, you can be rest assured that your child is reading the right books and gaining valuable knowledge regularly without breaking the bank.

So, take action today, dear parents! You’ll be thankful to God that you made this decision.

Registration is ongoing!

Join our reading challenge: 4 books a month, which means 24 books in 6 months, all for just 10,000 naira per child!

Dear Parents!

Have you heard about the book "Seasaw"?

It’s such a beautiful story! It talks about a kid who faces the tough stuff that can happen at school, like bullying.

In "Seasaw," the main character learns how important it is to be brave and kind.

It showed us that standing up for ourselves and our friends can make a big difference.

This book is all about friendship and helping each other.

It reminds us that we are stronger when we stick together and support one another.

If you love stories that will teach your child about being kind and brave, you should check out "Seasaw!"

Every time I see my kids lost in a book, I’m reminded of just how special reading is.

It’s not just about words; it’s a whole adventure that helps them understand the world in ways we often overlook.

When they read, they begin to think critically and see things from different angles—skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

I love hearing their thoughts and opinions about the stories in the books.

Just the other day, my daughter laughed at a character who made a silly choice and said, “I would never do that!”

Moments like these are pure gold. They teach us about feelings, choices, and even morals.

I find joy in those conversations, as they show me how my children are growing emotionally and socially.

And the beauty of it all? Reading opens up so much curiosity in them.

They begin to ask questions and relate stories to their own lives, which is truly magical to witness.

In these moments, I see my kids not just learning but also dreaming and exploring their imaginations.

Bring them to join our community!

I understand how you feel as a parent after a hectic day when your child comes at you with that question you consider "nonsense."

Please, I have to encourage you to give them that opportunity to ask and the chance to speak. Some kids are just like that—very inquisitive, and sometimes they come off as disturbing and noisy. It's like having a tiny, relentless lawyer in your living room, right?

As a parent, hear them out! Answer their questions if you can, and if you can't at that moment, let them know you'll answer it later. Just be prepared for the follow-up question: "But why not now?" Ah, the joys of parenting!

I wear these shoes, and I know where they pinch. I haven’t handled these situations perfectly myself, but encouragement from fellow parents has helped me do better.

So, let’s embrace the chaos, cherish those curious minds, and maybe invest in some earplugs for those days when the questions just won’t stop!

People often tell me "Your daughters are very intelligent".

While, I give God the glory for this grace, however I strongly believe that they have always been intentional about their education.

I noticed early how they carry every available book to read. They will disturb anybody around them to help them pronounce any word they struggle with and this made me buy more books for them.

Till date, their love for reading gives me joy and this is why I can confidently tell you that encouraging your child to read books works.

It's always easier to catch them young and that's why we are interested in them when they're from 5+years.

However, it's still not late to get that child that lacks the zeal to read to start reading. It takes an intentional parent to do this.

I met a woman who told me that she likes the book club, but that she needs to ask her child if he's interested first.

I was surprised to hear this because if you are waiting for that child to agree, you'll wait for too long.

As a parent, if you know what is good for your child, go ahead and encourage them to do that thing. Take the first step as a parent.

Bring your child to join other kids who will motivate them to read.

Registration is 10,000 for (6 months)
