Hello Presh, please post for me.
I and my husband are married for 13 years. We have 5 kids together. We were living happily until my mother-in-law came to join us. She was sick and my husband brought her to stay with us and recover, but after recovery, mama refused to go back to the village, she insisted on living with us which my husband accepted. Whenever I'm having a conversation with my husband, his mother will be snooping around and be eavesdropping, her constant interference has brought countless problems between me and my husband. I no longer have peace in my home, she is constantly monitoring me, even when I'm making calls, and when my husband comes back from work, she will call him to have a conversation with her and after that conversation, his attitudes towards me will change, If I cook, she will say my food is not sweet, she will then cook for my husband and he sees nothing wrong in what his mother is doing. There is nothing I do that pleases her. When I was pregnant of our last baby who is 3 months old now, she never cared to know how I'm doing as a mother, even when I gave birth, she still didn't help me out. As woman that gave birth newly, she expects me to still cook and do all the house chores. Mama has other children, but does not want to spend even weekends with them. I reported this to our pastor, who invited us for counselling and all hell let loose. My husband and his mother said that for the fact I reported, I should leave the house. I'm am tired of this situation. What should I do?
