For the first time this season, Manchester United finally picked up a win, and it came against newly promoted Burnley.

Here are my takeaways from the game:

The problem is not Amorim’s formation or tactics. It’s United’s finishing. They had 26 shots, only 6 on target, 4 big chances with 2 missed, and hit the crossbar twice. One of those rebounds gave them their first goal.

The midfield was exposed in the second half. Mainoo’s introduction raised the same question again: does he really fit into Amorim’s setup?

Zirkzee looked too slow. The chance he missed in the first half is one most strikers would bury with ease.

The win is positive, but finishing must improve. The international break should give the team time to sharpen up. Hopefully Cunha’s injury is not serious.
