AI is not the skill. It’s what you can do with it that people are paying for.
And yes, there are people already making hundreds to thousands of dollars per project with these skills.
If you're learning AI right now, please don't make the mistake of thinking:
"I know how to use AI, so I'm ready to get paid."
Not quite.
Here are some skills people are actually paying for:
1. AI video creation: roughly $150–$500+ per short-form video, depending on the quality and complexity.
2. AI image creation: around $30–$350 per social image depending on experience, quality and usage rights.
3. AI content writing: roughly $100–$200 for a 1,500-word piece at beginner level, with experienced creators charging considerably more.
4. AI content packages: you can also package multiple deliverables instead of charging for one tiny task at a time. Some current market guides put monthly AI content retainers in the $800–$3,500+ range, depending on experience and scope.
And here's the part I really want you to understand:
Clients aren't paying you because you know where the "generate" button is.
They're paying because you can take their idea, product or problem and turn it into something useful.
