Veekee James and Prudent Gabriel are a constant reminder that “you can do the same business, be the best of friends, collaborate and still grow.
Two Queens dominating the fashion industry who choose collaborating over competition.
I watched a video from Dr Akin’s page where he posted he and his wife’s first official look for their traditional marriage about a week ago and it was Prudent who made the dress but guess whose comment was the first on that post, it was Vekee’s. She tagged Prudent and hyped her for doing an amazing job.
And just this morning I was scrolling through Instagram and saw this video from the Akins white wedding and it was Vekee that made the wedding gown, I opened the comment section and Prudent was there hyping Veekee as well and do you know the sweetest part of that comment, she said “I was proud when you shared the idea of this design with me”.
I opened my mouth when I read that!
Ahhhhhhhh so they even share ideas without fear of the other person hijacking their design?
These two women have really mastered the act of collaborating with no Envy. No hate. No jealousy.
Just two Godly friends loving and supporting each other.
Do you know that Vekee James made one of Prudent”s wedding dresses during her wedding two years ago and Prudent made Veekee’s sis in-law’s wedding dress last.
These Queens both made Jarvis’ Traditional and white wedding dresses
They made Simi’s wedding dresses
They made Priscilla Ojo’s wedding dresses
They made Mrs Akin’s wedding dresses
The list of their collaborations is endless.
I don’t know how they are doing it but they are doing it well and we love it. I pray the grace of God helping them continues to guard their minds and heart always.
So when next you hear someone tell you they want to block a fellow vendor on Facebook or any other app, please show them these two women.
