"I DON'T WANT TO WORK FOR ANYBODY!"
It's good to own your business and be your own boss, but please do not think for a moment that there's anything wrong with working for another person.
Too many people have been talked into quitting their jobs prematurely in the name of entrepreneurship and financial freedom.
A whole generation is being heralded into this ungodly avenue of untimely self determination, independence and entrepreneurship.
It's almost as though nobody should work for another again. Speak to young people today and you'd be shocked that nobody wants to work for another. Greed has been clothed in a royal apparel.
"I don't want to work for anybody" is a frequently used statement among our young workforce. That's how many have ended up in ponzi schemes and scam networks that have left them devastated and impoverished.
Service and loyalty are virtues often downplayed or relegated. How I wish our motivational speakers would promote and glorify service and loyalty as they have promoted and glorified enterpreneurship.
I know you want to own the entire business, but remember that ten percent of one billion naira is more than a hundred percent of a hundred thousand naira. Work for other people and be a part of the actualisation of their big dreams. If you must leave to start yours, leave respectfully WHEN YOU ARE READY.
There must be pilots who will not own airlines, there will be teachers and they will not all own their schools. Chefs will not all own their restaurants.
All pastors must not be General Overseers.
Indeed, the Bible admonishes us to serve others as though we were doing it unto the Lord.
Collaboration, support and service are great and noble, my friends.
Let's go to work.
