A LIGHT FOR YORUBA LAND 🌙
To the beacon of knowledge and unity

In a time when division is loud and unity is scarce, Allah raises men whose mission is to gather hearts upon truth.
Today, AL MONSURRY TV celebrates one of such men — a pride of Oyo, a blessing to Ibadan, and a guiding light for the entire Yoruba land.
WHO IS HE?
He is Fadeelat Sheikh Muh.taofeeq Akewugberu Akewugbagold
The National Ameer of ITHADUL WAIZIN OF YORUBA LAND.
The leader of all Islamic preachers across Yoruba land.
But his work did not stop at the minbar.
A SCHOLAR OF BALANCE
While many debated, he built.
He established both an Arabic Islamic School AND a Western Education School.
Why? Because he understood:
Our children need Qur’an to guide their hearts and knowledge to serve the Ummah in every field.
That is wisdom. That is foresight. That is Ilm + ‘Amal.
A SCHOLAR WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION
What sets him apart?
His heart carries no tribalism. No religious bigotry.
Muslim, Christian, Yoruba, non-Yoruba his door is open, his advice is sincere.
He preaches peace, unity, and the true message of Islam to all.
That is why Islam in Yoruba land cannot forget his aspect.
From palaces to campuses, from mosques to national seminars, his voice is known for clarity, adab, and wisdom.
A SERVANT OF DA’WAH
Week after week, lecture after lecture, seminar after seminar — he travels to teach, to correct, and to inspire the next generation of Waizeen
The Prophet ﷺ said The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophet
And wallahi, we see that inheritance in him.
OUR MESSAGE TO HIM
O Shaykh, know that your efforts are not in "إِنَّا لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلًا"
_“Indeed, We do not allow to be lost the reward of anyone who did well. [Al-Kahf: 30]
Every student you taught, every heart you softened, every preacher you mentored it is all written for you.
Do not grow weary. The Ummah needs your balance.
The youth need your guidance.
Yoruba land needs your unity.
We ask Allah to:
1. Preserve you upon khayr
2. Increase you in beneficial knowledge and ikhlas
3. Put barakah in your schools and in Ithadul Waizin
4. Make you a sadaqah jariyah that continues long after us
JazakAllahu Khayran O Ameer.
Yoruba land is proud of you. Islam is proud of you.
We love you for the sake of Allah.
