Think Again...look at his actions and not the false cover that he's with Ken Saro-Wiwa and others to the end. He wasn't...check the records!

Well, if you didn't know and was thinking you have someone by the name Ledum Mitee in ODC or any other entity masquerading to be representing Ogoni then I tell you today: don't waste your time or cry over a spilt milk!
While I can understand that many Ogonis who are 25, 30 or probably 35 may not know Mr. Mitee's antecedents and believe he's with Ken Saro-Wiwa in the struggle, I make bold to say that he wasn't.
Those who have seen the video of the announcement of his acquittal would agree that he didn't look back once he's pronounced discharged and acquitted but jumped like he didn't know and walked straight to the far back seat. He didn't turn to. look at Ken and others even after they're wrongfully convicted.
But in an interview now on YouTube he lied that Saro-Wiwa was holding him and saying, "we said we will damn them and not show any wickedness."
Of course, it's a lie. He knew he would be released. And Ken already had the gist but in disbelief from late Elder Lekue Lah Loolo whose interview was captured into this pamphlet attached by MOSOP international.
Loolo was in the same Afam prison with Batom Mitee, Ledum 's junior brother. As Loolo put it in the 2000 interview, Major Obi Umai came one earlier money and handed a letter to Batom. According to him, Mitee was telling Batom to play his part as agreed that the government had agreed to free them if Saro-Wiwa was implicated in their testimony. That he's done or is doing his part. Loolo went further to say that it was Mr. Clement Akpamgbo, former Attorney general and Minister of Injustice who brokered the deal.
But, let's put this allegation of betrayal aside and embrace his acquittal as someone who struggled and suffered with Ken and others even though late Major Paul Okuntimo was reported by some who were also in prison with them earlier that he's taking him to the clubs and other places at night including his house to sleep and that resulted in pregnancy.
Since Mitee was released what's he done but profit from MOSOP and ensuring the same MOSOP through which Saro-Wiwa exposed him to the world dies in factions or pieces so that there will be no unified MOSOP to challenge oil resumption without meeting the Ogoni Bill of Rights political autonomy demand that's a state to wit an homogeneous Bori State. The state which those who don't have oil and aren't contributing than Ogoni have is the only benefit and insurance that will guarantee employment, the development of and investments in Ogoni. Mitee killed MOSOP by spending 16 years as the so-called MOSOP president and politicized the movement into a moneymaking machine every Jan 4 and in-between but not November 10.
He worked during his tenure as one of the ex Governor Amaechi's Economic Advisers in contravention of the MOSOP Constitution particularly the conflict of interest clause. The late intellectually sound Richard Nimaa once wrote the title: "MOSOP mustn't die in your hand," referring to Mitee and his anti-MOSOP behavior. As if he knew it. MOSOP died. It's killed by Mitee's bad precedent and subsequent schemes.
It took some courageous Ogonis at home and abroad to force him out with Tee Goodluck Diigbo traveling to Ogoni to wrestle power with him. They ended in court.
He finally decided to step down but by this time a severe damage had been done. Note that no Nigerian military dictator stayed in power like Mitee commandeered MOSOP.
Then fast forward to the Ogoni case : Saro-Wiwa vs Shell in the USA. He refused to join and also lied to the lawyers to travel to Nigeria to speak with him. They did. He reportedly dodged them. To date he refused to challenge the predisposed tribunal's judgement, even as a lawyer? Mitee also fought the release of Saro-Wiwa 's bones or remains during president Obasanjo's regime, leading to the book: The Politics of Bones," written by a Canadian journalist, J. Timothy Hunt, and illustrated or narrated by Dr. Owens Wiwa.
Mind you, he's given thousands of dollars and pound sterling, even Naira on behalf of MOSOP/Ogoni. No Ogoni saw the tail-light of that money. Some of the money was replicated in the book Ken Saro-Wiwa and MOSOP: The Story and Revelation (Ikari, 2007).
Through him the body shop London gave Ogoni a container of medicine and other relief materials. Ogoni peasants didn't see a piece. On the NUOS international, USA list-serve about 15 years ago I asked the late Mr. Monday Abueh and Lenu Kpagi about the container because it's during their time as customers' top officers. Mr. Abueh agreed he cleared the container but added that he was directed to drop it off at one "White Street" in Lagos. Asked what happened next he said, he knew nothing about it afterward. I was curious and asked, if he and Kpagi, others who knew about the gift ever told Ogonis who the gift was directed. There's no answer.
Lastly but not the least, in addition Emmanuel Barinuazor and his NYCOP faction rallying some youths to Abuja calling for oil resumption, the current Oil Resumption activities which are ongoing while ODC lies about dialogue and consultation having granted NNPC permission to resume work, came after Mitee and former Senator Lee Maeba, and Olaka Nwogu knowingly and deliberately handed over Ogoni negotiation with NNPC against Shell on OML 11 to Mr corruption Nyesom Wike. This was how the issue and allegation of $300,000.000 ( three hundred million dollars) embezzlement by Wike came about. It's alleged that NNPC settled and paid the money to Wike. Thereafter, Wike granted Mitee a job as one of the non-executive board members at NNPC.
Consequently, Mitee and others that include the late Sen. Barry Mpigi who Wike reportedly promised the Rivers State governor's job felt the responsibility and duty, obligation to deliver oil and gas to Wike who wants to prove to Tinubu and others that he knows Ogoni politicians and those misnamed leaders very well to manipulate and control them.
Therefore, the granting of oil and gas resumption activities to NNPC without the informed consent of Ogonis. ODC is only a smokescreen hence the games and secrecy which some members have complained about and culminating in the ODC media brief recently, where Prof Baridam- led rulership denied any knowledge of oil resumption activities in Ogoni but later in its printed statement said that the allegation of rig established in Alessa Eleme, Ogoni is ongoing. They think they're fooling Ogonis but themselves and generations unborn.
More importantly, the question today is no longer whether oil and gas will flow soon if not already flowing in Mumba and Ledor area in Ban Ogoi special unit, but it's whether Ogonis will sit and watch their present and future thrown away, totally destroyed by these selfish, greedy and wicked rulers and corruptivists. I hope not.
I truly hope that Ogoni youths and women who will suffer the most will rise up peacefully and non-violently to continue speaking up as many are doing and find a way to stop all oil and gas production activities until a Bori State that holds sustainable insurance for Ogoni development and employment beginning with 13 % derivation fund for oil producing states is created alongside proper environmental cleanup and restoration.
In my time, I joined 4 others in Bori to plan and rally the youths from Bori to Gokana and stop the korokoro Tai pipelines construction. I was the secretary and strategy master. My co-travelers are still alive and can attest. We gave a big win to MOSOP and Ogoni when the pipeline's work was abandoned. This happened about April 1993 after the first Ogoni day on January 4. You can do it under my guidance if you wish and should do or without my help because angels will not do it for you and Ogoni but you.
Anyway, if you doubt Nigeria that it doesn't care about Ogoni interest but to resume oil production only then open your eyes to see that it doesn't care about you yesterday and not today. Forget the lies about the so-called confidence building. It's nowhere, not even is the secondary school campus environment and technology university in Saakpewaa adequately funded. NNPC which agreed to contribute refused the last time I was updated. I just posted the deadbeat hospital repairs that Baridam and Mitee, others are proud of. It's indeed laughable and shameful. Yet these jobbers are luring the NSA to speed up the signing of an MOU for what they've already agreed, none of which hS been presented to any Ogoni Congress for review and approval. Unfortunately, some Ogonis are clapping and supporting such a fraudulent entity as ODC despite some credible members on the committee, some of whom have raised red alerts.
Realistically or evidently, 35 years of oil production in Ogoni that left the place with pollution and degradation, poverty and death plus the Trans Niger Pipelines that still conveys oil from other parts of Rivers State to the Bonny terminals for export should be enough to secure cast iron guarantees as Ken Saro-Wiwa rightly challenged Ogonis to do or they "would be foolish indeed" for not doing this but allow oil resumption. By the way, those who may have been paid to be silent or protest in support of oil resumption, know that the money will finish even though some are only following the crowd.
And those protesting and calling for ODC imposed oil resumption, which of you are on the NNPC job list that's already skewed or appears fake? Maybe none. Even if you're there that job isn't guaranteed but if you support and protest for Bori State, declaring that if there's no Bori State there will be no oil and commit to it, when created eventually as it will if Ogonis unite to demand it, you will have your job and businesses, investments and Ogoni development permanently insured.
The state guarantees consistency and sustainability. The choice is yours and all good Ogonis who still believe in the Ogoni struggle for political autonomy like other Nigerians, and environmental restoration and protection, justice, equality as equal humans and Nigerians, peace and development, progress and job, happiness.
