Popular Nigerian singer, Portable, has mocked Nigerians who brag about owning Mercedes Benz car in Nigeria, IGBERETV reports.

The Zazu Zeh crooner who travelled to Germany, said the luxury car which many Nigerians take as a symbol of class and status status, is used as taxi in Germany.

He shared a video of himself saying this in Düsseldorf, Germany. He captioned the video on his Instagram handle;

The Presidential Campaign Council of the Labour Party will officially begin its campaigns on Saturday, October 29, 2022, in Lafia, Nasarawa State, North Central of Nigeria.

The PUNCH reported that the PCC of the LP had shifted the initial flag-off from October 20 due to the rampaging flood that affected 33 out of the 36 states of the federation.

A terse statement issued on Monday night by the Chief Spokesperson of the LP PCC, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, confirmed the new date to journalists.

He said, “Our presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, had to visit affected states to empathise with affected states and communities across the country.

“After his visitations, the campaign council of our great party has deemed it necessary to earnestly start the campaign from the North Central geo-political zone of Nigeria.

“We call on our support groups and teeming supporters to make themselves available for a worthwhile campaign for the 2023 general elections.”

The Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) has suspended its eight-month-old industrial action conditionally, a member of the union’s National Executive Committee told Channels TV early Friday.

The union decided to suspend the strike during a meeting of its leadership that started on Thursday night and lasted into the early hours of Friday.

The meeting was called by the union to determine its next line of action after its state branches met over the Court of Appeal ruling last week.

The Court of Appeal had ordered ASUU to suspend the strike before its appeal of the ruling ordering lecturers to resume work can be heard.

Members of the union’s National Executive Committee, which comprises the chairmen of the state chapters and members of the national executive, attended the meeting at the ASUU National Secretariat in Abuja.

ASUU has been on strike since February 14 this year.

I’m ready to coach Super Eagles again – Oliseh

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Sunday Oliseh, has said he will be willing to lead the team again, only if the conditions are right.

Oliseh was appointed Super Eagles head coach in 2015 but lasted eight months on the job.

The 48-year-old voluntarily resigned from the post citing contract violations, lack of support, unpaid wages and benefits to his players for his action.

The 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner then had coaching stints at Dutch club, Fortuna Sittard and German lower league side, SV 19 Straelen.

‘My priority is to get Nigeria back to the top,” Oliseh told Channels TV in an interview on Monday.

“I will do it (handle the Super Eagles) if the person employing have the interest of Nigeria at heart.'”

Oliseh was recently appointed as a member of the technical study group for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

He represented Nigeria 54 times and scored two goals.

UNN Final Year Student Wins N30m Star Prize At The Big Break Moment Africa 2022

A final year student of the department of Theater and Film Studies, of the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Joel Chibuzor Uzor Aka Joel Jonez has emerged the winner of the Big Break Moment Africa 2022, a TV reality show for talented undergraduates.

At the Big Break Moment Africa grand finale which held at the prestigious Eko hotels and suites in Lagos, Nigeria, Jonez, a professional dancer was awarded N30 million worth of cash and prizes.

He was given the grand prize which includes a 2021 Geely Coolray and N10M Naira cash.

Thousands of undergraduates auditioned for the show in July and 20 of them were selected from different higher institutions across the country, 5 undergraduates were also selected from the online audition.

The selected contestants were housed for 35 days at The Big Break Moment Mansion where they underwent a series of trainings from industry professionals.

10 Dream mates made it to the grand finale and 5 were selected for their final performance.

The Grand finale was anchored by super talented TV host, Denrele Edun and Ushbebe while the 3 Judges were Hollywood Stars from the USA; Andria Adams, Jonathan Coleman, and Doc Calvin Bonds.
