It's Monday, so let's talk about one important aspect of delivering an unforgettable performance as a singer, performer, or public speakers...

Microphone technique!

I dropped a quiz on Saturday and I love the answers I got.
Not holding your mic correctly can make a lot of difference in the quality of your sound, which in turn affects the way your audience responds.

Here's the right way to hold your mic....

📌 Hold the mic with the round part (called grille) facing your mouth.

📌 Keep the mic about 6-8 inches (about the width of your palm🎤✋😇) away from your mouth to get clear sounds.

📌 You being tensed doesn't mean you should squeeze it like it's agege bread.
Hold your mic firm but gently, with your thumb on the mic body and your fingers wrapped around the handle.

📌 Never cover the grille(round part) with your palm or hold so close to your mouth that they'd think you want to swallow it.

You know why this matters?

Apart from producing the best sound in terms of quality, it also makes you look confident and in charge.

You don't want to look timid on stage while performing.
And even if you are, you can still appear confident with the right mic technique.
