Hi guys!
The long vacation is over and I know some parents are already getting tensed but not to worry you have been overcoming and you will continue to overcome.
Here are some back-to-school advice for parents that covers both practical and emotional support:
🎒 1. Get Organized Early
Set routines for bedtime and wake-up a week before school starts.
Label supplies, uniforms, and lunchboxes.
Create a family calendar for assignments, activities, and events.
🥗 2. Support Healthy Habits
Ensure balanced meals and healthy snacks.
Keep regular sleep schedules—rest is key for focus and mood.
Limit screen time before bed.
📚 3. Encourage a Learning Mindset
Talk positively about school to reduce anxiety.
Read together daily, even a short article or story.
Celebrate effort, not just grades—praise persistence and progress.
đź’¬ 4. Stay Connected
Meet teachers and attend orientation if possible.
Check in daily: ask specific questions like “What was something fun you did today?” instead of just “How was school?”
Communicate with the school about concerns early.
🤝 5. Foster Independence
Let children pack their own bag and choose outfits (within reason).
Teach responsibility with small tasks (homework time, chores).
Encourage problem-solving rather than jumping in right away.
đź’– 6. Emotional Support
Acknowledge any back-to-school jitters. Share your own experiences of starting new things.
Remind them it’s okay to make mistakes—they’re part of learning.
Be patient as they settle into new routines.
