THE HOUSEMAID’S SECRET
EPISODE 1: The Girl at the Gate
They hired her as a maid…
But nobody knew she carried the secret that could destroy the whole family.
Ada arrived at the mansion with only one small bag in her hand and an old bracelet on her wrist.
The house was huge, beautiful, and cold.
As she entered, Mrs. Victoria, the madam of the house, looked at her from head to toe.
MRS. VICTORIA:
“In this house, you don’t ask questions. You don’t touch what doesn’t belong to you. And most importantly… stay away from my mother-in-law.”
Ada lowered her head.
ADA:
“Yes ma.”
But before the day ended, Ada saw the old woman in the wheelchair.
The woman stared at Ada like she had seen a ghost.
OLD WOMAN:
“Come closer.”
Ada moved closer slowly.
The old woman touched Ada’s face, then looked at the bracelet on her wrist.
Her eyes filled with tears.
OLD WOMAN:
“Where did you get this?”
Ada became confused.
ADA:
“It has always been with me, ma. My aunty said it was found with me when I was a baby.”
The old woman’s hand began to shake.
OLD WOMAN:
“It cannot be…”
Suddenly, Mrs. Victoria appeared with anger in her eyes.
MRS. VICTORIA:
“ADA! What did I tell you?”
Ada stepped back in fear.
MRS. VICTORIA:
“I warned you to stay away from her!”
The old woman looked at Victoria and asked quietly,
OLD WOMAN:
“Victoria… why are you afraid of this girl?”
For the first time, Ada saw it.
Madam was not just angry.
Madam was scared.
That night, Ada couldn’t sleep.
She kept wondering why everyone reacted strangely to her bracelet.
Then she saw Mama Ruth, the cook, walking quietly toward the back of the mansion.
Ada followed her.
Mama Ruth stopped in front of a locked room and whispered through the door.
MAMA RUTH:
“I saw her.”
A weak woman’s voice answered from inside.
VOICE:
“Does she look like me?”
Mama Ruth wiped her tears.
MAMA RUTH:
“She has your eyes.”
Ada covered her mouth in shock.
Before she could move, someone grabbed her from behind.
It was Mrs. Victoria.
Her voice was cold.
MRS. VICTORIA:
“What exactly did you hear?”
Ada trembled.
ADA:
“Madam… who is inside that room?”
Mrs. Victoria smiled dangerously.
MRS. VICTORIA:
“The last maid who asked too many questions.”
Then the woman inside the locked room whispered,
VOICE FROM THE ROOM:
“My daughter… is that you?”
