TO MY FUTURE WIFE,
I don't know where you are right now.
Maybe we've met already. Maybe we haven't. Maybe you're somewhere living your life, chasing your dreams, healing from things you don't talk about, and becoming the woman I will one day call my wife.
But wherever you are, I hope life is being kind to you.
I want you to know something about the man you're going to meet.
I am not perfect.
I've made mistakes. I've trusted wrongly. I've lost things, started again, fought silent battles and had moments where life forced me to become stronger than I planned to be.
But through everything, I'm still building.
Building my life. Building my dreams. Building the man I want to be when you finally stand beside me.
I don't promise you a life without problems. I don't promise that I'll always have the right words or get everything right.
But I promise to choose you intentionally.
I promise to respect you, listen to you, protect the peace we create and never make you feel like you're competing for a place in my life.
I want us to laugh at stupid things. Build crazy ideas together. Travel. Make money. Lose money and make it again. Sit in silence without it feeling uncomfortable.
I want a home that feels safe.
Not perfect.
Safe.
And when life gets loud, I want us to remember that we're on the same team.
My future wife, I hope when you finally meet me, you understand that I didn't just wait for you.
I worked on becoming worthy of the kind of love I hope we build.
Until our paths meet...
Take care of yourself.
I'm somewhere building our future too.
