Adulterated kerosene for domestic cooking, despite the horrible consequences, is widespread in several low-income regions of Africa.

Various kerosene explosions have been reportedly blamed on adulteration following several similar incidents in the media and publications.

Adulteration of household kerosene can be intentional or unintentional.

Consumers are the victims of dishonest domestic kerosene merchants and marketers who intentionally dilute the product to increase their profits. Petrol is reportedly the favored adulterating ingredient because it is less expensive.

Additionally, there have been allegations that some of the major petroleum product distributors fail to properly drain their storage tanks and trucks prior to loading other products. This can also inadvertently cause adulteration of the product.

It's not just kerosene dealers and marketers who are responsible for the problem; corrupt monitoring/enforcement systems and poor refining/distillation process are also to blame among other factors.

However, this video shares to the end, simple control measures and decisions to prevent the fatal consequences of these adulterated domestic kerosene.

Preventing slip hazards often requires simple measures. At the workplace or at home, slip and fall hazards are inherent and the incidents occur daily. Regardless of age, health, or infirmity, anyone is susceptible to slip-and-fall hazards and their consequences. Minor abrasions and bruises to catastrophic brain damage are all possible injuries.

Slip and fall accidents may cause years of physical pain, emotional agony, and financial hardships for otherwise healthy and mobile people. Fortunately, the hazards and their consequences may be avoided.

Wet or greasy floors, loose flooring, carpeting or mats, sloping walking surfaces, shoes with soggy, muddy, smooth, or oily bottoms, and weather dangers such as rain, ice, snow, amongst others, can all lead to slips, trips, and falls.

Preventing slip and fall hazards can simply involve clearing up all spills and wet areas as soon as possible. Other measures include cordoning the area; mopping or brushing the floor; and securing (taping or other means) any non-flat floor coverings such as mats, rugs, and carpets.
