I have been his driver all these years. So, I don't want to hear 'Mummy, I am busy, please drive yourself.'

That year, before 'I do, I do' took place.

She was not dreaming. She was fully conscious.

Her eyes were clear, and wide open.

She could see his young face clearly.

He looked into her eyes, but she was not bold enough to look into his eyes. She was shy😍

Then, he uttered those words with confidence. The same words she had come across in some fictional novels in secondary school.

She heard those sweet lengendary words clearly.

'Nky, I will take care of you in everything.'❤️

Hmmm, so sweet and assuring they sounded in her young ears.

Oga, how far with sweet words now?

'I will take care of you in everything' has evolved to become 'What do you bring to the table?, and 50/50 sharing formula'.🤪

Chai, this government no too favour marriage in all things, abeg, but hope dey. Vote wisely.

I smiled as I sorted out the dress I would wear to work the following day. It was actually a new 3-piece attire.

I tried it before a mirror and was satisfied with the effect, here and there.

I dressed up very fast on that fateful day and stepped out of my room with confidence.

Step come change immediately as I headed towards the car, and then the unexpected happened😪😮‍💨🫨

'Mummy, mummy, mummy, please wait a minute', my daughter called out to me desperately.

'Wharis it? I asked impatiently.

'Labels are dangling on your blouse👚

'What? I screamed😳☹️. I lowered my steeze small.

Behold, three good manufacturer's labels were removed from different parts of my dress.

Na so I for dangle strong labels enter university that day.

Abeg, screen that your new cloth well. Some embarrassments are actually avoidable.

Good afternoon, my honourable Fans.

Three days ago, I shopped at Judy and Acessories, and was expecting my stuff to be delivered to me later, the same day.

To my greatest surprise, the CEO herself seized my stuff, claiming that I had to pay her first😒😏

Why na? Somebody I carried in my womb for nine good months o❤️

Besides, I have cleared my old debt with dignity and a sense of responsibility, but e tey small.

Please, somebody should remind her that I relocated from a far distance just to marry her father;

The road to her community was not tarred when I stormed there with my good mind many years ago;

There was no uncompleted flyover when I arrived;
..and now person pikin will not allow her dear mother to owe her peacefully again. E good?

My prayer is that she should release my stuff because I want to use them on Sunday.

Please, look into this matter and give it a fair hearing.

I celebrate all the men who have made us proud in diverse ways, even with hard labour and lots of sacrifices.

I celebrate all the men who became our sources of strength in our areas of weakness.

I celebrate all the men who humbled themselves before our family members and Rumunda just to pay our bride price and take us to another home.

I celebrate all the men who made us mothers and did not run away.

I celebrate all the men who don't mind that we are not perfect and always show us and our children love.

Your children will remember you in old age.
