"In 2009, a Hollywood producer offered me a big movie role that would have paid me 90 million naira. The film was about African women, and I was supposed to be the main character. But when I read the script, I saw three scenes where I was meant to go completely náked and act like I was slééping with three different men.
I told the producer that I couldn’t do that. I said, 'If you can remove or change those scenes, I’ll do the movie.' But he refused. So, I walked away from the deal.
I told him, 'In my culture, a woman gives herself only to her husband. I love my husband deeply, and he loves me too. I can’t do such scenes.'
It wasn’t an easy choice, but I’m proud I stayed true to my values."
