Nigeria’s agricultural sector grew in 2024, with export values rising to ₦4.4 trillion; a 257 percent increase from the previous year’s ₦1.2 trillion. This growth solidifies agriculture as the country’s third-largest export contributor, accounting for 5.7 percent of Nigeria’s total exports ₦77 trillion.
While crude oil 71 percent and other oil products 17 percent remain dominant, the sector’s rapid expansion highlights progress in reducing reliance on hydrocarbons.
