If you want them to be kind — let them hear kindness from you.
If you want them to be respectful — speak to them with respect.
If you want them to control their tone — watch yours first.

Children don’t learn communication from lectures.
They learn it from how we talk to them when we’re tired, frustrated, or upset.

Your voice becomes their inner voice.
Your tone becomes their tone.

So choose your words with love.
You’re not just talking to a child — you’re shaping how they’ll speak to the world.

Strange to think about, isn’t it?

You grow up under the same roof —
sharing bedrooms, secrets, and childhood laughter —
and one day, life pulls you all in different directions.

Some become the caretaker.
Some drift away.
And some leave this world far too soon.

That’s the heartbreaking reality of growing up.
Family changes. People fade.
And time doesn’t wait for anyone to fix what’s broken.

If you’re lucky enough to still have your siblings here,
call them.
Text them.
Even if things are weird.

Because one day, that group chat will go quiet…
and you’ll wish you had one more chance to say, “I love you.”
