Bobrisky saga: Falz gives VeryDarkMan 24 hours to apologize

Recall that on Tuesday September 24th, social activist VeryDarkMan released a purported audio conversation between Bobrisky and a male friend in which Bob claimed he spoke with Falz in prison and that Falz and his dad, Femi Falana, SAN, tried to get him a presidential pardon.

VDM, in his reaction, expressed disgust at Falz and his father for associating with Bobrisky and even asked if Falz ‘dey do’

Falz in a statement from his father’s chambers which was released this evening, confirmed that Bobrisky reached out to him on May 4 to ask for N3 million to secure a VIP section in the prison which he, Falz, said he disaproved and did not give Bobrisky any money. He said VDM’s comment portrayed him to be a homosexual£xual and one to pervert the cause of justice and is complicit in the upturning of justice for financial gains.

Falz said VDM, by his post, also portrayed him as a fake human rights activist. According to him, VDM went ahead to publish such an audio clip without contacting him to hear his own side.

The rapper, through his lawyers, has demanded an ‘immediate retraction of the offensive and derogatory publication’ as well as an apology prominently published on all the platforms to which he has disseminated it without any justification whatsoever.

The lawyers say that failure to do this within 24 (twenty-four) hours, they have the rapper’s instruction to seek appropriate legal remedies, including monetary damages against VDM.

Embattled music mogul, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has reportedly been placed on su!cide watch as he awaits trial.

The 54-year-old star was arrested at a hotel in New York earlier this week, and he has been charged with s3x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in pr∅stitution.

He has been remanded to Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center after pleading not guilty, and he has twice been denied bail.

According to PEOPLE, Combs is on su***de watch, with sources describing the move as a preventative measure as he is in shock with his mental state unclear.

The U.S. Department of Justice National Institute of Corrections describes su***de watch as ‘supervisory precautions taken for suicidal inmates that require frequent observation’.

Combs’ lawyers had argued he should be spared jail while he awaits trial and suggested a $50 million bond with electronic monitoring, weekly drug tests, a visitor log, the surrender of his passport, and no contact with women.

He was initially denied bail on Tuesday after pleading not guilty, and on Wednesday he was denied bail again.

The Judge explained that he was concerned that Combs’ release on bail could affect the case.

‘My bigger concern deals with the danger of obstruction of justice and the danger of witness tampering,’ Judge Andrew Carter said. ‘That is a real concern that I have here.’

Security personnel foiled an alleged assassination attempt on a federal lawmaker representing the Esan North-East/Esan South-East Federal Constituency in Edo State, Henry Okojie.

The men were identified as armed men suspected to be political thugs.

Media aide, Michael Ihaza, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, September 20, saying that Okojie, the husband of actress Mercy Johnson, was attacked at his residence by gunmen in a Lexus GX 470 carrying a Rivers State vehicle registration number – PHC 253 FF.

The statement noted that the alleged planned assassination “was unsuccessful owing to the intervention of security personnel attached to the lawmaker.”

“The armed thugs who disguised as police officers along with two others, invaded the residence of Hon. Okojie, claimed to be on appointment and proceeded to the seating room.

“Following the intervention of the security personnel attached to the lawmaker, two of the armed thugs fled leaving behind the driver and another who are currently being interrogated by officers from the Area Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Uromi.” the statement read in part
