Elephants are the only mammals that can't jump, no matter how fast they move.
Unlike most land animals, an elephant always keeps at least one foot firmly on the ground—even when running. Their massive size and sturdy, pillar-like legs are built to support tremendous weight, not to launch their bodies into the air.
Instead of jumping, elephants move faster by taking longer and quicker strides while maintaining constant contact with the ground. This unique adaptation allows them to travel surprisingly fast and efficiently despite being the largest land animals on Earth.
And while they may never leap over obstacles, elephants can still reach speeds of up to 25 km/h (15 mph) when moving at full pace. 🌍

The cheetah is the fastest land animal on Earth, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just a few seconds.

But here's the surprising part:

Despite being a powerful predator, there are no verified records of a wild cheetah ever killing a human.

Unlike many big cats, cheetahs are generally shy, avoid confrontation, and prefer to flee rather than fight.

Speed doesn't always equal aggression.
