'*CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT*

Sometime ago, in my neighbourhood, there was a small bakery known for its delectable treats. The owner, Mrs. Okoduwa, firmly believed in the mantra, "Customers are always right." She instilled this philosophy in her team, emphasizing the importance of customer satisfaction.

One day, a customer named Ms. Oge walked into the bakery for the collection of the cake that she ordered for her daughter's birthday. When they brought the cake, the customer flared up because it wasn't up to her specification.The sale rep. started urging that it was what she ordered.

Ms. Oge was so furious and with anger raised her voice. Mrs. Okuduwa, heard the argument from her office and rather than being defensive, listened attentively to the complaint. She apologized sincerely and offered to rectify the situation.

Mrs. Okoduwa ensured that a new cake, exceeding Ms. Oge's expectations, was prepared promptly. She even added a box of assorted pastries as a gesture of goodwill. Ms.Oge was not only pleased with the new cake but also impressed by the bakery's commitment to customer satisfaction.

Word spread in the town about Mrs. Okoduwa's customer-centric approach. The bakery gained a reputation for not just delicious pastries but exceptional service. Customers felt valued, knowing that if ever there was an issue, Mrs. Okoduwa and her team would go the extra mile to make it right.

The moral of the story is that the customer-centric philosophy goes beyond resolving complaints; it builds trust, loyalty, and a positive reputation. Mrs. Okoduwa's bakery thrived not just because of its tasty treats but because customers knew they were respected and appreciated.
