If you notice that your child is unwell, especially a toddler, please don't rush to send them to school.
No one will care for your child the way you will.
Sometimes, in the bid to keep up with daily activities, some parents give a sick child medication and still send them off to school. But being a parent means knowing when to pause everything else and put your child first.
A sick child needs comfort, attention, rest, and close monitoring—not a classroom.
Teachers, caregivers, nannies, and minders are there to assist, but they can never replace a parent's responsibility. Their job is to support you, not to parent on your behalf.
Bringing a child into this world comes with sacrifices. There will be days when your plans have to wait because your child needs you more.
A child may not remember every toy you bought, but they will always benefit from the care and attention you gave them when they needed it most.
At the end of the day, parenting isn't about convenience; it's about showing up, especially on the days it's hardest.
If your child is too sick to stay comfortably at home, then they're too sick to be in school.
