She was a mother, a leader, and a woman of unwavering faith.

Every Mother's Day, the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church honors the life and legacy of Emma Clarissa Clement — the first African American woman named American Mother of the Year in 1946.

Her dedication to family, community, and the Church set a standard that still speaks today. We celebrate her not just for what she achieved, but for how she lived.

Today, we remember her. And we celebrate every mother carrying that same grace, strength, and spirit of service.

Three days.

Women of faith from every district.

Worship, mission, business, legacy.

The Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society has been "Reaching the Masses" since 1880 - and the journey absolutely continues.

Thank you to every delegate, every volunteer, every minister, every child who sang, every woman who prayed.
