ISOKO AND URHOBO ARE ONE
The story about separation of Isoko from her root URHOBO, there was nothing like Urhobo/Isoko UNTIL 1955 when about 3 Chiefs led by Chief Otobor ( in Urhobo means e don reach hand ) ISOKO was known as Eastern Urhobo Otobor let the campaign of Isoko is not Urhobo ALL BECAUSE of political appointment that he aiming that he didn't get, the appointment was given to a person from another section of Urhobo by Zik and when Otobor reached to zik for same appointment he was that one of your brothers already got it and we give position to Urhobos.. Then he got angry rushed home with some others from Isoko section of the Urhobo and began the campaign of Isoko is not Urhobo that they distinct tribe.. in 1956 the request was granted and they got a new appointment as a tribe..
CORRECTIONS it's not an Urhobo that will say am not Isoko, wrong BECAUSE Urhobo have different section of people Which includes the OKPEs, UGHELLIs, UVIEWs, UGHIEVWEs, & the ETHIOPEs, USUs, and ISOKO was one of the section so it's not Urhobo denying Isoko it's Isoko denying Urhobo for political greed it started back in 1956.. Isoko is now a tribe of about 70 years old while they have existed for hundreds of centuries as Urhobo tribe. Thanks..
