In light of the increasing acts of vandalism by those opposed to the interests of our beloved Rivers State, it is imperative to resist any inclination to participate in such destructive behaviour. The pursuit of peace remains unequivocally preferable to conflict. It is essential to recognise that electoral outcomes, whether favourable or unfavourable, do not mark the end of one’s political or civic engagement.

We urge victors to demonstrate magnanimity in their triumphs while encouraging those who are dissatisfied with the results to pursue lawful recourse, grounded in substantive evidence. The destruction of our state must cease. As such, we call on all to either honour and contribute positively to the growth of Rivers State or to disengage entirely from actions that undermine its well-being.
