In 1989, during Liberia’s deadly civil war that brought down Samuel Doe, one Nigerian man Mr Emmanuel Chukwu saved over 1,000 fellow Nigerians from sure death.
Mr Chukwu was a successful businessman in Liberia. Chukwu, then was one of Liberia’s wealthiest foreign businessmen with investments worth approximately $89.405 million He had powerful friends, access to government, and was doing well. But when war broke out, things changed fast. Rebel leader Charles Taylor declared Nigeria an enemy, and announced that for every Liberian killed, five Nigerians would be killed in revenge.
Chukwu acted fast. He used his own money, contacts and even handed over his brand new Mercedes Benz to secure the release of captured Nigerians. When the Nigerian government had no evacuation plan, it was Chukwu who used his own two cargo ships to save Nigerians. Many had nowhere else to run. Chukwu told them to go straight to his ships.
Over one thousand people, including women and children, were loaded onto the ships. He even bribed Taylor’s coast guards just so they could sail out of Liberia safely.

But in the process, he lost everything. His imported goods were left behind. His ships were gone. His money in Nigerian banks disappeared as the banks collapsed. Worst of all, his younger brother was captured and killed during the war.
When he returned to Nigeria with his family, he had just 600 dollars to his name.

He hoped that the Nigerian government would honour their promise to help him resettle. At first, things looked hopeful. General Babangida approved compensation. But decades passed and nothing was ever done.
Chukwu visited Obasanjo, followed up during Goodluck Jonathan’s time, and even got support from Dora Akunyili before she passed. Yet, still nothing.

Today, Mr Chukwu lives between Lagos and Suleja in hardship, waiting for help that never came. His wife, who stood by him all these years, has now gone totally blind. She lost her sight because they couldn't afford to complete her treatment. One kind Nigerian, Hope Uzodinma (now governor of Imo), once stepped in to help. But it was too late.
“I just want to see again,” his wife once said.

Mr Chukwu still believes one day Nigeria will remember what he did, and keep the promise made to him over 30 years ago.

This man saved lives when our government was silent. He deserves honour, support, and justice.

Me: He did well for the country but unfortunately, he is Igbo.
Sad tales of a tribe so patriotic but so hated!

Kindly share to the appropriate quarter if they could have a change of heart and help this man.

When it comes to their interest every tribe abandons their Western religion except Igbos. Our own western religion messed up our culture, language and even dividing families apart

The One lying on the stretcher just bowed out, the other is bowing in to continue from where he stopped. They have forgotten that life itself is too transient to be proud, wicked, heartless and covetous. They have continued to rule this country and her citizens with impunity.

One day Tinubu and all those acquiring and looting our common patrimony will bow like the Idi Amin of Nigeria just did, afterwards the citizens will judge him here on earth before he faces the fury of God's judgement. This is not a prayer but a certainty.
Buhari's fate will not be his potion if only he amends his ways selling our Refineries to himself and brothers.

Here is Chibuike Amaechi, my own brother and uncle from Ikwerre land is live in Daura kastina State to pay his last respect to the late Idi Amin of Nigeria.

Hopefully Tinubu will surpass Buhari' Record since he promised to continue from where Buhari stopped. God help my Igbo brother from Ikwerre land.

I pray he doesn't suffocate in this attire oo! 😂

All the Nations seaport was cunningly moved to the South West because of their greed for acquisition despite the congestion, and they still have the effrontery to claim yariba land belongs to yariba people?

As long as the infrastructures in Lagos was built with our resources with no alternative to the people elsewhere, you really have no right to stop Nigerians from sharing in their collective patrimony, if you want to own Lagos alone then stop the monopoly and give other regions their constitutional rights to own such infrastructures. You cannot seize what belongs to everyone and expect to own it alone. Never!

Nigerians are right when they say "Lagos is no man's land" let that sink!

We've got so much pressure from several groups in Rivers State to remove the word "Igbo" in the newly formed Indigenous Igbo Congress IIC Rivers State. According to them, It's acceptability depends on the word "Igbo". But what other name is best fit for the Indigenous Igbos of Rivers State without the inclusion of "Igbo"?

If Ogbakor Ikwerre can confidently deny they're not Igbo while bearing an ancient Igbo word "OGBAKOR" what will then happen if the IIC replaces the word "Igbo" with any other conventional Igbo word? Isn't that going to start another phase of Igbo denial amongst the Indigenous Igbo speaking extractions of Rivers State?

If we all speak Igb0 and practice Igbo culture then there's absolutely no reason why we shouldn't include Igbo to form a block in Rivers State. Those casting aspersions that Igbos of South East will hijack the organization are still not aware of what the IIC stands for. The IIC is not affiliated with any group but will synergies when necessary to protect the interest of the Indigenous Igbos of Rivers State.

If you're from any Igbo speaking extractions of Rivers State and wishes to be part of the IIC, kindly inbox TheTribes to get admitted now

Dear Ikwerre's, You're not the only Igbo extraction that call father "Ndah/Nda", Nda is an Igbo dialect, several other Igbo speaking extractions in the South East, Anioma and North Central refers to father as Ndah also.

If you say Ikwerres are not Igbos because we call our fathers "Ndah/Nda" and not "Nna" like some Igbo extractions do, what then do we call mother in Ikwerre dialect? Isn't it Nne/Nna?

Again, not all clans in Ikwerre call father Ndah, others refers to father as Nna too. Please stop disgracing us if you can't differentiate between a language and dialect. Ikwerre is a dialect of the larger Igbo language, everything spoken in our dialect is also spoken by other Igbo extractions, the fact that you haven't traveled to observe this mutual intelligibility of the Igbo language isn't enough to sound bereft of knowledge. Travel to other Igbo communities and hear them speak exactly like Ikwerres do.

Hmm! Nnamdi Kanu was right after all. Those who said he was lying can now see for themselves how the Fulani's connived with the British government to keep Buhari's death a top secret until now.

What a shameless country.

If Igbos make any further mistake of fighting for everyone in the name of BIAFRA without considering to unite the several Igbo extractions with carefully planned attacking mechanism in the event of any external aggression like taking over the airspace like Israel did to Iran, you might loose again and still remain in Nigeria with more suppression, become a minority and the non Igbo minorities already waiting for such satanic opportunity will take your position and even annex more Igbo territories like they're already doing unopposed.

In one out of the many fabricated Ikwerre Histories they claimed "Akalaka" was a Bini warrior, Another Version claimed he was a Bini prince, now the recent version claimed he was a MEMBER of the Bini Royal family.

In this recent fabrication, they want us to believe that Akalaka was a member of the Bini Royal family who ran away with his wife and first son alongside his cousin brother Ochichi, both bearing Igbo names.

Now I ask, was Ochichi (Akalaka's cousin) part of those who planned to dethrone Oba Ewaure hence he ran away with Akalaka to a faraway unknown destination? a member of the royal family that agreed to deprive himself of all royalties but chose to run away with his brother when he wasn't part of the coup d'etat? Apart from Akalaka and Ochichi, has there been any record of bini people bearing such Igbo names ever?

Again, remember they told us in that fake history that Akalaka ran away with his wife and son whose name is Ikpehia (Ekpeye) to Ndoni area right? doesn't it sound preposterous for Akalaka, wife, son and brother to completely forgot their Bini language, culture and traditions since the only language they speak as husband and wife was Bini?

I remain the Ikwerre man from Emohua LGA Rivers State asking pertinent questions since no one has accepted my debate challenge, until then I will continue to expose this falsehoods online.

Nawaoo! How Anambra People allowed someone who cannot manage his family to manage their state is a case study.

If he has the audacity to call Igbo youths kidnappers, what will he call this son of his? And when is Anambra going start sensitizing youths with this traces to stay away from the state?
