On Tuesday, February 17, our media team had the privilege of covering a remarkable valedictory court session and book presentation held in honour of Obietonbara O. Daniel-Kalio, OFR, retired Justice of the Court of Appeal.
The event, which took place at the Court of Appeal in Port Harcourt, brought together over forty Justices of the Court of Appeal in a powerful show of respect and solidarity. It was a gathering of distinguished legal luminaries, reflecting the immense impact and legacy of Justice Daniel-Kalio’s years of service to the Nigerian judiciary.
Among the eminent personalities in attendance were the immediate past Vice President of Nigeria, H.E. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, and former Justice of the Supreme Court, Mary Ukaego Peter Odili, alongside several respected jurists, senior advocates, and members of the Bar and Bench.
The atmosphere was filled with reflection, gratitude, and celebration of a career defined by integrity, excellence, and unwavering commitment to justice. It was truly an honour for our team to document such a historic and inspiring occasion.
