I DO MY BEST

Yesterday, I came across a TikTok trend where someone asked, "What do you do for a living?" and the response was, "I do my best."

It made me smile because, honestly, it couldn’t describe my journey more perfectly.
I’m a screenwriter still working toward my really "BIG break," crafting stories with heart, grit, and imagination like and doing my best with it.

I created a fun, wholesome animated series for children, and I am doing my best to build the TimeBender Fest and the TimeBender Tribe ecosystem around it - a growing community of young minds, parents & guardians who believe in stories that teach, inspire, and entertain.

Yet behind the colourful worlds and hopeful characters are the anxious nights, the self-funded projects, the unanswered emails, and the rejection letters that sometimes make you doubt your voice, your purpose, even your talents.

There are days when it feels like you are shouting into a void, hoping that somewhere, somehow, someone will hear you, believe, and support.

But even on those days... especially on those days, I do my best.
I write.
I create.
I plan.
I build.
And I believe that God will use my best regardless of how limited it might be.

In the end, whatever else my “claim to fame” becomes, it will always include this: In everything I did, I did my best.

So, if you're looking for a burst of creativity, learning, and joy, if you are looking for a tribe where children learn to be their best, then you should become a TimeBender!

Taking It One Barrel at a Time:

Building a media production studio in Nigeria is not for the faint-hearted. It’s not a sprint; it’s not even a marathon. It’s a journey through rugged terrain, where every victory is hard-won and every step forward must be earned.

That meant reinvesting earnings from other projects, seeking strategic collaborations, and leveraging every available resource to push forward.
One of the earliest lessons I learned was that I had to wear multiple hats: executive producer, creative director, marketer, social media manager, voiceover artist, administrator and accountant.

Each episode produced, each book published, each festival hosted is a barrel stacked toward a greater vision. When we launched the TimeBender Fest, we didn’t begin with a massive event backed by deep pockets. We started with a simple gathering, built a tribe, and nurtured it. Now, each edition gets bigger, each moment of impact more profound. The same goes for every other story taking shape under Amaranthine Media. They all begin as single drops, filling the barrel one by one until they overflow.

Bootstrapping in Nigeria means being resourceful. It means stretching a budget until it sings, finding creative solutions where others see dead ends, and betting on yourself when no one else will. But it also means learning to count success differently: not by how fast you grow, but by the weight of each step forward.

And so, I keep stacking barrels. One accomplished episode. One impactful book. One unforgettable fiesta. Until the vision I see so clearly in my mind stands tall, unshakable, undeniable.
One barrel at a time.
