Re: Report fact Checks: Fubara's wife was allegedly abducted**

A complete fallacy!

On March 26, 2024, a number of social media outlets, particularly Facebook, reported that Lady Valerie Fubara, wife of Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State was abducted following a gun battle among security operatives.

Curiously, the purveyors of the story claimed that the purported abduction took place on February 26, 2024.

We wish to inform the public that the alleged abduction of the wife of the Rivers State Governor is false. It is a fictitious concoction by the authors with the intent of grabbing attention and creating traction for their platform.

The claim that there was a gunfight among security operatives never happened; neither was the Rivers State First Lady caught in a fictitious crossfire and subsequently abducted.

Lady Valerie Fubara is hale and hearty and going about her duties.

That the purported abduction cannot be true is buttressed by the fact that on March 16, 2024 the Rivers State First Lady was performing burial rites for her mother at Opobo town in the full glare of sympathizers.

The public is requested to ignore the fake news of the purported abduction of the wife of the Rivers State Governor as it is one more infantile attempt to create chaos and distract the Governor from focusing on governance with social and economic justice.

STAND FOR WHAT IS RIGHT GOV FUBARA CHARGES RIVERS PEOPLE, PRESENTS CERTIFICATE OF RECOGNITION TO OKOCHIRI KING

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has charged Rivers people to stand for what is right and be among those to liberate and free the state from oppression.

Governor Fubara gave the charge on Tuesday at Government House, Port Harcourt while presenting certificate of recognition and staff of office to His Majesty, King Ateke Michael Tom, Amanyanabo of Okochiri

The governor noted that it is working with the peace loving King and people of Rivers State that will continue to propel him to do those things that are right for the development of the state.

"We will continue to consult and act as people who know that one day we will leave, and when we leave the way we have acted will speak for us. We will not force people to talk good about us, our legacy will be a signature for our life.

He said the reason for elevating the Okochiri stool to first class in accordance with the powers vested in him by the laws is because of the peaceful disposition of King Ateke Michael Tom and ensuring peace among the people.

"You brought peace to Okrika and it is that peace that I have been using to manage the state."

Gov. Fubara further revealed that only today the State Executive Council approved and awarded a signature project of dualising the Elele-Umudioga-Egbeda-Ikiri-Omoku road for N80billion and made 50% payment worth over N40 billion.

"It will surprise you to know that we are executing this project with savings from our IGR. We have made 50% payment of about N40 billion. With the prudence of this administration we will clear the balance without borrowing."

He said as a team his administration will continue to work and make the State proud at the end.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Chieftancy and Community Affairs, Hon. Charles Amadi has presented His Majesty, King Ateke Michael Tom and commended the governor for elevating the stool from second class to first class status.

Also speaking, a former Minister of Transport and an Okrika Chief, Chief Abiye Sekibo thanked the governor for fulfilling the promise of presenting the certificate of recognition and staff of office to the Amanyanabo.

Charges Against Fubara’s Chief Of Staff Disobedience To Tinubu’s Directive, Ugochinyere Tells IGP

Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) and Member representing Ideato North and South federal constituency of Imo State, Hon. Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, has called on the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to withdraw the criminal charges filed against Rt. Hon. Ehie Edison, the Chief of Staff to Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, saying the charge was politically motivated and it amounted to a sabotage of the Rivers’ Presidential Peace Accord signed in Abuja.

The lawmaker made the call at the Private Jet Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on his way to Lome, Togo, for a two-day International Conference on the need for political peace and stability as key to sustainable development in Africa.

He recounted that in line with the said Peace Accord midwifed by President Bola Tinubu, all cases that were instituted in the courts were directed to be withdrawn by the President.
The lawmaker wondered why even the elected Governor of Rivers state would obey the President’s politically difficult decisions but an appointee of the President would be taking actions, which seem to sabotage the entire agenda.

“The Governor of Rivers State reappointed Commissioners who had resigned from his cabinet, he allowed the State House of Assembly to be sitting and he has paid them their allowances, among others. These are politically difficult decisions to take even when it looked like the governor then had all the advantages yet were obeyed. So it is strange that it is an appointee of the President that is taking steps that seem to sabotage the entire process,” he said.
Hon. Ugochinyere called on the Inspector General of Police to align with President Tinubu in bringing about lasting peace in Rivers State and withdraw the charges which were hurriedly filed without thorough investigation as thorough investigation would have revealed that Rt. Hon. Edison Ehie had no hand in the unfortunate burning of the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex in October 2023.

“Like the Rivers Governor has always preached, no price is too much to pay for peace in Rivers State. The Inspector General more than any other person should be interested in peace in Rivers State and should withdraw the charges as they were contemplated when political emotions were high and now that peace is returning and government running smoothly, the charges can only disrupt the peace and not build it,” Ugochinyere concluded.

GOV. FUBARA PAYS TRIBUTE TO HERBERT WIGWE, ASSURES OF IMMORTALIZING SOME OF HIS LEGACIES

Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara says the late Herbert Wigwe lived an impactful life, affecting society positively and his administration is determined to immortalise him as a worthy son of the State.

Sir Fubara made the promise at the Night of Tributes in Port Harcourt on Tuesday evening, an event that was organised by the Port Harcourt City One Love Family, to reflect, celebrate and eulogise the life of late Herbert Wigwe.

Governor Fubara described as double loss the death of Herbert Wigwe, first as an in-law, and second as a trail blazing son of the state who exhibited daring spirit known of Rivers people in pursuit of their dreams and became successful in his career with reckonable social impact.

"I have come to understand something about life, those that God has favoured, blessed and truly cherish, He does not like them to stay too long on earth because he doesn't want them to get corrupted.

"But the wicked ones, the cruel, that you are praying to die, will stay and they will not die. So, you should understand that what has happened to our brother and his family, is truly painful to everyone. But at the long)

The governor said no matter the wealth acquired, in death, nothing is taken along and advised that people live life of value, and be at peace with people they encounter daily. "So, it is for us to appreciate the mystery of life.

Governor Fubara also enjoined members of the Port Harcourt One Love Family to uphold and continue with those social impact endeavours that late Herbert Wigwe devoted his time to.

Chairman of the Port Harcourt One Love Family, Ambassador Idaere Gogo Ogan said the death of Herbert Wigwe has caused an unbearable and lamentable pain.

He however, noted that in their grief, God provided strength and they were honouring a man who was a pillar and a potent force in this Port Harcourt City and selflessly committed his time and resources to promote the state and offered enduring help to so many persons.

...SIM: Leading from the Front

"He who thinks he is leading and has no one following him is only taking a walk" - African Proverbs.

Leadership is about responsibility and service to the people. Just as Jesus admonished his disciples that the leader must be the servant. It is in serving that leadership is entrusted and in leading there must be corresponding followership.

Show a man with deafening multitude of followers, then I will show a man of passionate service. It is a two way concept. It is about empathy for others and commitment to their cause. Followership reciprocate the deep commitment to servanthood. It is a factor of innate attachment to the motivation from the servant-leader.

Even when the followership tends to be self motivated, some sense of value of the servant-leader keeps the bond of that relationship burning, without which it becomes mere rhetoric.

In other words a leader who feels both the joy and pain of his followers and often lend a hand of support always remains at the radar of the people following.

In addition, when the society is challenged, it takes exceptional qualities of the servant-leader to take the front roll in proffering solutions to such challenge by coordinating the people for collective action that will save the society.

Similarly, Sir Siminalayi Fubara is one man that leads by example and leads from the front. At the outbreak of COVID-19 with the attendant effect of lockdown, he became a succour to many, not only in his LGA of Opobo/Nkoro but all humanity at his reach. He demonstrated love, courage and commitment by mobilising both men and resources to assist humanity overcome that challenge. That is leadership at display.

As a leader in the front, many followed. Also at a time, his party, the PDP was almost completely deserted in his LGA, he stood firm rebuilding along with men and women of faith. Today, both those that deserted and in other parties now take shelter comfortably under the umbrella in Opobo/Nkoro, which one man stood firm to safeguard. In all these, he neither takes credit or boast about, but in his humble nature, he calls the effort team spirit for the good of humanity.

Today, the SIM's servant-leader bug has caught up with many bigwigs in other political parties across the state thus making them leave their parties in droves to join him in the PDP.

How else, do we measure a leader of immense repute with followership across all shades and leanings? Sir Siminalayi Fubara holds the ace and has demonstrated uncommon capacity to bring people together. He has gone to them with one striking message. That message is "We have seen the harvest of development in our dear state, it is time for Consolidation of the New Rivers Vision". And as it is, all have agreed to join this crusade of consolidation for advancement of the frontiers of growth and development in Rivers State.

It is on that strength that we enjoin you not to be left out, but see Sir Siminalayi Fubara's election as governor of Rivers State on March 11, 2023 as a great opportunity to advance the cause of Rivers people for shared prosperity and elevation in the comity of states in Nigeria.

So as you join us to vote PDP on that auspicious day of March 11, 2023, you shall be among the history makers in our dear Rivers State. Thank you for reading me. 23/10/2022

…SIM: WINNING HUMANITY OVER

“Though my works may be menial, though my contribution may be small, I can perform it with dignity and offer it with unselfishness. My talents may not be great, but I can use them to bless the lives of others. …The goodness of the world in which we live is the accumulated goodness of many small and seemingly inconsequential acts.”
- Gordon B. Hinckley

The postulations of Gordon B. Hinckley sets the tune for selflessness and staying at doing good no matter how small it is. Even at that, the world tends to become a better place if we consider humanity and make our contributions without faltering, no matter the quantum.

It, therefore, takes indubitable dexterity to stay at an act that brings an individual to public reckoning. It may be little good deed in a very quiet corner. Though it may seem unnoticed, but God who sees in secrets can orchestrate an event that will suddenly announce the individual to the public limelight. So, such event that announces one may be infinitesimal, but weighty in value. Many of us in our different calling may be doing our jobs unnoticed or unappreciated, but it is important to keep doing good to humanity for you may not know the season of your reckoning, even the holy scripture admonished us thus.

No wonder, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has never faltered in being diligent at his work. It was at the test of his job that he became a testament of honour, where he is found worthy to bear the master’s cup like Nehemiah. His contribution to the good of humanity has won them over many a time. From attending the quiet prayer session of Women Prays in his homestead of Opobo, he became passionate to the welfare of many underprivileged and indigents. He began a quiet agenda of lifting many from the point of poverty to the place of empowerment.

Remembering his humble background, Sir SIM Fubara never despised the days of little beginning and so he set out an initiative starting small and expanding with time. By the last count of that effort over 450 persons which include women, men and the youths have been empowered through skills development and settlement; business stimulus support; special welfare support and scholarships to several indigent students in tertiary institutions pursuing diverse courses of study.

In fact, the essence of Fubara’s doing good is aptly captured and that is to bless the lives of others as advocated by Gordon Hinckley. Therefore, no matter how inconsequential the acts, he has etched his name on the marble as one who feels the pain of others. And in leadership, it takes those who feels the pains of the led to understand the strategy to ameliorate such pains. Fubara has been there and needs no one to tell him what the people feel and how to go about it.

He is fully equipped and without doubt, would marshal out strategic plans to tackle the fang of hunger and poverty ravaging the lower rung of the society and improve the quality of life of the people. He is poised to upgrade the middle class and stabilize the state by bridging the gap of inequality between the haves and have nots. It is obvious that the man who wins humanity wins all and will keep winning in all fronts.

It is on that prism we ask you not to be left behind as Sir Siminalayi Fubara is daily winning over humanity to his side. Even many in the opposition are already aligning to the SIM Project. What then are you waiting for? Be part of those to be counted in making a formidable history in Rivers State come March 25, 2023 by voting for SIM/NGOZI and the PDP, only then we all would enjoy consolidated development in a peacefully sustained State. Thank you and God bless you.

…SIM: THE GOOD MAN

“Seek to do good, and you find that happiness will run after you.”
- Freeman Clarke, Theologian & Author (1810-1888)

Quite often it is the definition of a path that determines the destination. Perhaps, the allegory of Jesus returning with power and going about doing good unto humanity comes to mind as we draw from Freeman Clarke’s words of wisdom today.

Our Lord Jesus knew that he required power to do good to humanity, so he separated himself seeking God the owner of power. Until he began to manifest, no one knew that Jesus carries the kind of power he demonstrated across Jerusalem and Judea.

So, the season of separation for Sir Siminalayi Fubara has been the period of his committed and diligent pursuit of his career through loyalty and building himself to take command of his world. His best separation is his calm disposition and contentment without ambition. He was never desperate for or anxious of anything. A man who believes absolutely in God and ensured that whatever God has not given him, he would not be in a haste to get. He fully put all his trust in God’s path to direct him to his destination. No wonder he moved quite far on the ladder of his career getting to the apex without blemish. So, when men jostled for men, SIM sought God.

It is apparent that no one rejects the one that God by himself qualifies. This has been proven severally, Joseph and David come to mind. So, as Sir Fubara emerged from the season of separation, it became clearer that Rivers people were in for a season of showers of prosperous blessings crafted in a simple pact of consolidation for advancement as he manifest the absolute grace of God. The content of SIM’s agenda shall in the coming days be subject of discourse on this platform as an exposure to what I term “The Great Coming”.

It will reveal the good man nature of Sir Siminalayi Fubara who has in the past years opened his heart for God in order to make a mark in life. From his humble background in Opobo he first learnt the act of volunteering, renting himself to serve humanity by being mentorship teacher. He long learnt that for one to expand, one must give, so he imbibed the giving spirit and that became contagious for an uncommon expansion for him.

Many of his contemporaries and those contending with him today suddenly landed the platform of charity because they nursed political ambition, but for SIM, it is in his blood and his common character, a natural habitat. He doesn’t give because he seeks reward, but he gives because he desire to see humanity get better. He has always been guided by the principle of doing right to humanity no matter the creed, gender or religion, believing that when the motive is pure, the future is sure.

It is on that premises that I solicit the cooperation of great Rivers men and women of good conscience to support this good man, who will consistently do good if voted for as Governor to mount the reins of governance come March 25, 2023 gubernatorial election. I therefore urge you to vote wisely, vote for PDP and vote for SIM for Governor to ensure an uninterrupted network to consolidate development in efficient services, industrial growth, maximizing potentials and opportunities that will prosper Rivers people. Till then I expect your maximum support as you keep reading the message of consolidation from me. Thanks for keeping faith with me.

PRESS RELEASE

FUBARA APPLAUDS WIKE FOR N1B FLOOD VICTIMS INTERVENTION, APPOINTMENT OF SAs
..Commiserates with flood victims

Following the flurry of floods ravaging several parts of Rivers State, the Peoples Democratic Party flag bearer, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has applauded the State governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike for mustering the political will to provide succor to victims of the deluge with the sum of N1billion.

Sir Fubara noted that it could only take a compassionate leader to urgently take such an essential step to salvage the people so devastated by the natural disaster.

He also commended Gov. Wike for appointing 28,000 dedicated party men and women across the state as Special Assistants in recognition of the contributions they have been making towards the success of the administration.

The gubernatorial candidate emphasized that the two actions of the governor have proven that he is a visionary and altruistic leader who feels the pains of the people and can be trusted.

In addition, Sir Fubara empathized with the flood victims across the heavily impacted areas of the State, and urged them not to lose hope as government is already attending to their predicament through the intervention of Gov. Wike.

While also congratulating all the Special Assistant appointees, Sir Fubara enjoined the people to always reciprocate the commitment and positive gesture of government towards their wellbeing by maintaining their support for the administration of Gov. Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party as the State enters the election season.

SIMPLE PACT FOR CONSOLIDATION

SIM: The Youthful Hero, found by Grace

Heroes are made by the paths they choose, not the powers they are graced with – Brodi Ashton Everneath, author.

In the narrative of the prophets, Samuel was sent to anoint a King out of the house of Jesse. After several failed efforts based on human assessment, it became obvious that Samuel seems to have embarked on a futile task. But alas! It was reported by Jesse himself that, …there remaineth yet the youngest, and behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither….and the Lord said, arise, anoint him for this is he!

Deep grace that located David from deep obscurity and brought him to limelight. It never ended there, he demonstrated brevity at the war front to terminate slavery of the Israelites by the intimidating Philistines that fronted a giant like Goliath.

Significantly, Sir Siminalayi Fubara shares same characteristics with the David of the old. Whereas David was keeping sheep for his father in the field, Sir Fubara was truly working for his father’s land as a seasoned technocrat and impeccable administrator.

Similarly, while many qualified politicians jostled for the governorship slot in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Fubara was busy with his calling and assignment as a refined accountant and exchequer for the Rivers State civil service.

And like mercy found David; grace qualified and located Sim Fubara. It was also documented that after that encounter, no one that tend to fight or fought David survived, but where brutally wounded and destroyed because of the anointing. I have observed from actions that followed the graceful nomination of Sir Siminalayi Fubara as the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP that those who tend to fight against the cause have suddenly lost their steam and voices.

What else can be said of this Opobo born accounting maverick and philanthropist per excellence. This youthful hero, found by grace has remained focused for the task ahead as the path of his endeavours has made ways for him to thrive on the path of honour. Coming from the background of civil service, Sim Fubara tilts towards public service welfare to fortify his primary constituency and for the promotion of the common good of Rivers people especially the youths and women.

We are very certain that this is the season of uncommon consolidation to sustain the copious investment in infrastructure development that has earned the State a national pride of place as witnessed with the conferment of Distinguished Excellence Award in Infrastructure Delivery on Gov. Nyesom Wike by President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR.

It is on that basis that we invite you to be part of this epoch-making by voting the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) and Sir Siminalayi Fubara, KSC, FNIM, FCNA come March 25, 2023 to cruise to victory as the governor of our dear Rivers State. As you do, may history count you on the path of this glory. 13/10/2022
