Apani Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area is set for a significant political and community development gathering today, Wednesday, 24th June 2026, as the Rainbow Coalition holds its Unit-to-Unit Inauguration of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Ward 6.
The initiative, pioneered by Hon Anselm N Aguguo, Hon. Darlington Osai, the Special Adviser to the Ikwerre Local Government Chairman on Water Resources Management, is expected to bring together community leaders, youths, women, farmers, artisans and party supporters in a demonstration of grassroots mobilization and inclusive governance.
The event will also serve as a grand reception for the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hon. Beneficiaries are expected to receive support for skill acquisition programmes aimed at equipping young people and women with practical vocational opportunities for self-reliance.
Farmers are also expected to benefit from the Chairman's Back-to-Farm Reform agenda, an initiative focused on increasing agricultural productivity, enhancing food security and encouraging greater participation in modern farming practices. Small and growing businesses will equally receive support as part of efforts to stimulate local economic growth and create sustainable employment opportunities.
Community stakeholders believe that the Rainbow Coalition's grassroots strategy, combined with the empowerment programmes, reflects a commitment to participatory leadership and development that reaches every unit and household.
As preparations reach their final stage, anticipation continues to build across Apani, with many residents looking forward to a successful event that not only inaugurates Renewed Hope Ambassadors but also delivers tangible benefits to farmers, entrepreneurs and aspiring skilled workers.
