TOPIC: Endowment of the Spirit
TEXT: Acts 1:8

Acts 1:8(KJV)
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

Introduction:
The term "endowment" means a gift or a bestowal—something granted generously. In the spiritual context, the Endowment of the Spirit refers to the divine empowerment of believers by the Holy Spirit for effective Christian living and ministry. Jesus promised His disciples power through the coming of the Holy Spirit. This power wasn't just for speaking in tongues or spiritual gifts, but for extraordinary living, transformation, boldness, guidance, and mission.

1. The Promise of the Spirit.
Scripture: Joel 2:28-29; John 14:16-17

God promised in the Old Testament to pour out His Spirit on all flesh.

Jesus confirmed this promise by telling His disciples that the Father would send the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is not an optional extra—it is essential for the believer's life.

The Holy Spirit is God’s promise of power, presence, and purpose in our lives.

2. The Purpose of the Endowment.
Scripture: Acts 1:8; Luke 24:49

The Spirit empowers believers to be witnesses.

The power is not for personal display but for evangelism, service, and holy living.

We are not left to carry out God's mission in our strength.

You are endowed with power not for status but for service.

3. The Evidence of the Spirit.
Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

The fruit of the Spirit (character) and the gifts of the Spirit (ability) are signs of His work in us.

A Spirit-filled life is marked by love, joy, peace, and supernatural abilities for ministry.

One may have gifts but the fruit reveals maturity and depth.

The evidence of the Spirit’s endowment is not only in gifts, but in godly character.

4. The Empowered Life.
Scripture: Romans 8:14; Ephesians 5:18

A Spirit-filled person is led by the Spirit daily.

The Spirit guides decisions, convicts of sin, and empowers victory over the flesh.

Being filled is not a one-time event, but a continuous infilling.

Live in daily dependence and obedience to the Spirit’s leading.

5. The Call to Receive.
Scripture: Acts 2:38; Luke 11:13

The Holy Spirit is available to all who believe and ask in faith.

Repentance and openness are the keys to receiving the Spirit.

He is given to empower you to fulfill your God-given destiny.

God desires to fill every believer—ask, receive, and walk in the Spirit.

Conclusion:
The Endowment of the Spirit is God's divine gift to empower you for life and mission. Without the Spirit, we operate in human effort; with the Spirit, we move in divine authority. Let us hunger for more of Him, be open to His work in our lives, and boldly fulfill our calling.

Prayer:
“Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit. I open my heart to receive Your power, Your presence, and Your direction. Fill me afresh today, and help me to walk daily in the power of the Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

TOPIC: The Wind of Glory
TEXT : Acts 2:1–4; Ezekiel 37:1–14; John 3:8

Introduction:
Welcome to today 's devotional. God is determined to give you the encounter to will change your life forever. With an open heart receive the word of God with faith.
The Bible often uses the imagery of wind to signify the movement of God’s Spirit. Wind is invisible yet powerful, unpredictable yet undeniable. Today, we will explore what it means to experience the Wind of Glory—the mighty move of God's presence that brings transformation, power, and revival.

Let's look at a few things about "WIND"
In Scripture, wind is a powerful and rich symbol used to represent various aspects of God's nature and activity. Here’s a breakdown👇:

Biblical Symbols of Wind.
1. The Holy Spirit.
Symbolism: The wind often represents the Holy Spirit.

Scripture: “The wind blows where it wishes… so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” – John 3:8

In Acts 2:2, the Spirit’s arrival was marked by the sound of a "rushing mighty wind."

2. God’s Power and Presence.
Symbolism: Wind is a sign of God's invisible yet powerful presence.

Scripture: “Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind…” – Job 38:1

God used wind to part the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21).

3. Judgment and Sovereignty.
Symbolism: Wind is also used to symbolize God's judgment and control over nature and nations.

Scripture : “I am stirring up the four winds…” Jeremiah 49:36, also seen in Daniel 7:2 and Revelation 7:1.

4. Revival and Restoration.
Symbolism: In Ezekiel’s vision, wind brings life to dry bones.

Scripture : “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain…” – Ezekiel 37:9

Characteristics of Wind (and Their Spiritual Parallels).
1. Invisible, Yet Powerful.
You can’t see the wind, but you see its effects—just like the Spirit’s work in a life.
2. Unpredictable.
Wind changes direction suddenly, like the Spirit who moves as He wills (John 3:8).
3. Refreshing or Destructive.
Wind can cool and comfort (like a gentle breeze) or uproot and reshape (like a storm)—just as God can bring peace or discipline.
4. Everywhere Yet Untouchable.
Wind is omnipresent and not bound—echoing God’s omnipresence.
5. Carries Seeds and Sound.
Wind carries things—like how the Spirit spreads the Word and stirs up faith.

1. The Wind of Glory Brings Life.
Ezekiel 37:1–14
In the vision of the valley of dry bones, Ezekiel saw lifeless bones scattered across a desolate place. God told him to prophesy to the wind—the ruach, or Spirit—and breath entered the bones, turning them into a living army. Today, May the spirit of God brings life into anything dead in you and around you in the name of Jesus Christ.

The glory of God brings resurrection to dead dreams, dead spirits, and lifeless churches.

When the Wind of Glory blows, what was once dead receives life again. Yours is receiving life in Jesus name.

Are there dry areas in your life? Invite the Holy Spirit to breathe afresh. Speak the Word and expect the wind to blow.

2. The Wind of Glory Brings Power.
Acts 2:1–4
On the Day of Pentecost, a sound like a mighty rushing wind filled the house. This was the Wind of Glory ushering in the birth of the Church. The Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to preach boldly, perform miracles, and change the world.

Glory comes not to entertain but to empower. You will be empowered in the name of Jesus.

The same wind that blew on Pentecost is still available today.

Seek not just the presence of God, but the power that comes with it. Yield yourself to be filled and used by the Spirit. And your life will never remain the same in Jesus name.

3. The Wind of Glory Moves Sovereigly.
John 3:8
> “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes.” – John 3:8

Jesus compares the movement of the Spirit to the wind—sovereign, mysterious, and uncontrollable. We cannot dictate where or how God will move, but we can position ourselves to receive. So position yourself for a supernatural encounter today.

Revival cannot be manufactured, but it can be stewarded.

The Wind of Glory is drawn to surrendered hearts. Open up your heart to receive from God.

Humble yourself. Stay sensitive. Let go of formulas. Let the Spirit lead.

4. The Wind of Glory Heralds God’s Presence.
2 Chronicles 5:13–14
When Solomon dedicated the temple, the glory of God filled the house like a cloud, and the priests could not stand to minister. That manifestation was preceded by unified worship.

Key Lessons:
The Wind of Glory is drawn through unity and worship.

God's presence will disrupt our agendas when He chooses to dwell among us.

Be a worshipper. Create an atmosphere for God’s glory to settle.

Conclusion:
The Wind of Glory is not just a poetic image—it is the powerful, life-giving movement of God’s Spirit. It's a supernatural move of God that will usher in the glory of God. It revives, empowers, and dwells among those who are open, hungry, and expectant.

Prayer:
Open your mouth and begin to pray for:
1. Revival: Lord, breathe into the dry areas of my life.
2. Empowerment: Fill me afresh with your Spirit and power.
3. Sensitivity: Help me discern and follow the movement of your Spirit.
4. Worship: Make me a carrier of your glory through a life of worship and unity.

TOPIC: Why Revival Tarries
TEXT: Habakkuk 3:2

Habakkuk 3:2
“O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid; O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.”

Introduction:
Revival is the divine visitation of God’s presence that brings transformation, repentance, and spiritual awakening. Many believers and churches long for revival, yet we often ask, why does it tarry? This message explores the reasons revival delays and what we must do to invite God's power back into our lives and communities.Oh Lord, let your fire fall again.

1. Lack of Genuine Prayer.
James 5:16
“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”

Revival tarries because the Church has become too busy for prayer. In Acts 1:14, the early church “continued with one accord in prayer,” and the Holy Spirit came in Acts 2. Prayer is not optional for revival; it is essential. When prayer becomes a priority again, revival will follow. Stop explaining prayer , pray prayer, stay on, even when you are weak and everything say no to prayer. Prayer is the fuel that drive revival.

2. Compromise with Sin.
Isaiah 59:1-2 “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save... but your iniquities have separated you from your God.”

Sin tolerated in the life of a believer or church quenches the Spirit. Revival cannot thrive where sin is entertained. Repentance must come before renewal. As Psalm 66:18 says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear.” Whatever sin can not destroy, does not exist.Sin is a destroyer and a sincker. Just one day out of sin can change a whole lot if things.

3. Loss of Passion for Souls.
Proverbs 11:30 “He who wins souls is wise.”

The Church has lost its burden for the lost. Jesus came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10), and if revival is to come, our hearts must break for what breaks His. Revival often begins with tears of intercession for souls. Take decisive and practical step today to win someone to Christ Jesus.

4. Lack of Hunger for God.
Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”

God fills those who are hungry. Revival tarries when we are content without His presence. Like Moses in Exodus 33:15, we must cry out, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here!” Be desperate for God, it works.

5. Self-Reliance and Pride.
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves…”

God resists the proud (James 4:6). When churches rely on programs instead of power, structures instead of the Spirit, and methods instead of the Master, revival is delayed. Humility is the soil in which revival grows.

6. Absence of Holiness and Fear of God.
Hebrews 12:14 “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.”

God does not dwell where He is not revered. In Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira died, and “great fear came upon all,” leading to a mighty move of God (Acts 5:11-16). The fear of God must return to the church. The church must embrace purity of life.

Conclusion:
Revival is not a myth or a thing of the past; it is God’s will for His Church. But it begins not with a crowd, but with one heart fully surrendered.
Will you be that one? Will you pray, repent, hunger, and seek until God moves?

Hosea 10:12 “Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.”

Prayer:
Cry out to God right now for Mercy and forgiveness over any known and unknown sin. Pray that the Lord revive your heart and spirit today. Pray other prayers as it affects relationship with God. Give Him praise. Hallelujah!

WEDNESDAY 23/4/2025
TOPIC: Staying Spiritually Ablaze
TEXT: Romans 12:11

Romans 12:11
“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.”

Introduction:
Fire is a powerful symbol in Scripture. It represents the presence of God, the Holy Spirit, passion, purification, and power. As believers, we are called not only to be ignited by God but to stay spiritually ablaze—to burn continually with zeal, passion, and love for the Lord.

1. The Source of Our Fire
Acts 2:3-4
“Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire… and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.”
The fire of God begins with the Holy Spirit.
We cannot manufacture true spiritual passion—it's birthed by God’s presence in us.

The early church became spiritually ablaze when they were filled with the Holy Spirit.

Seek daily communion with the Holy Spirit through prayer, worship, and the Word.

2. Feeding the Fire
Leviticus 6:12-13
“The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out…”

Even though God starts the fire, it’s our responsibility to keep it burning.
Spiritual disciplines (prayer, fasting, study, fellowship) are the fuel that keeps the fire alive.

Create consistent habits that feed your spiritual life. What you feed grows, what you starve dies.

3. Guarding the Flame
1 Thessalonians 5:19
“Do not quench the Spirit.”

Sin, compromise, distraction, and apathy can quench our spiritual flame.
Stay away from environments, relationships, or habits that draw you away from God.

Stay alert to anything that threatens your spiritual vitality. Confess sin quickly and walk in obedience.

4. Spreading the Fire
Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others…”

A fire that burns bright naturally spreads.
When you are spiritually ablaze, you influence and ignite others.

Be intentional about sharing your faith, encouraging others, and serving with passion.

5. Rekindling When the Fire Dies
2 Timothy 1:6
“Fan into flame the gift of God…”

Even Paul recognized that we can grow cold.
But there’s hope: we can stir ourselves up again in God.

If your flame is dim, return to your first love. Reignite your passion through repentance and rededication.

Conclusion:
God is calling His people to stay spiritually ablaze in a world that’s growing colder. When we are on fire for Him, we become lights that shine in darkness. Let us be people who burn brightly for Jesus every day.

Can you :
Ask the Holy Spirit to reignite your heart.

Make a decision to guard and feed your spiritual flame.

Commit to living a life that shines with God’s glory.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for word to me today, please help to the fire of God burning in my life. Holy Spirit Help me to stay spiritually ablaze for Jesus, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
