The woman on the Nigeria 🇳🇬 twenty Naira note is Ladi Kwali. She was born in Kwali, Gwari region of Northern Nigeria, where pottery was a common occupation among women.

She was so skilled that her work became known in Europe, Britain and America. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, her work was displayed in London at the Berkeley Galleries.

She became Nigeria's best-known Potter, was awarded a doctorate and made MBE in 1963 despite not having a formal education. You see why I always say Eñglish is just a language not a measure of intelligence.

Here is the reason the world think Igbos are the smartest on Earth.

An IGBO man walks into a bank in LAGOS and asks for the loan officer. He tells the loan officer that he is going to DUBAI on business for four weeks and needs to borrow #5,000.

The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the IGBO man hands over the keys to a brand new Mercedes Benz S class 500 parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the log book and everything checks out. The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank's president and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the IGBO man for using
a #30 Million Mercedes Benz as collateral against a #5,000 loan. An employee of the bank then drives the Mercedes Benz into the bank's underground garage and parks it there.

Four weeks later, the IGBO man returns, repays the #5,000 and the interest, which comes to #150.41. The loan officer says, 'Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely but we are a little puzzled.

While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow ' #5,000'.

Did you know that the Alien in the 1979 Famous movie "THE ALIEN" was played by a Yoruba man - Bolaji Badejo!

The Movie made over $184.7 million at the Box Office.

Badejo studied abroad in the United States before moving to London, England, to get specialized training as a graphic designer. Bodejo was unusually tall, standing at a height of 2.08 meters (6 feet and 10 inches). Director Ridley Scott's casting crew was seeking a tall person to play the creature in his upcoming film.

Badejo, as a 26-year-old design student, was discovered drinking in a bar by a member of the casting team, who put him in touch with Scott. Scott believed that Badejo, at 6 feet 10 inches (208 cm) (7 feet (210 cm) inside the costume) and with a slender frame, could portray the alien and look as if his arms and legs were too long to be real.

The success of Alien spawned the Alien franchise. Badejo was offered a role in a sequel, but moved back to Nigeria in 1980; this led to the sequels incorporating more puppetry and animation alongside several suit performers. Alien is his sole film credit.

After his return to Nigeria, Badejo began running his own art gallery in 1983. He died from sickle cell disease at the age of 39.

RIP, dear Rozzy.

She was pushed into a big boiling pot of grinded fresh pepper and tomatoes by her friend on Saturday, 13th April. She battled for about two weeks with her roasted/boiled body and finally ḍíęɗ last week Friday 26th April.

Rozzy was buried four days ago, but we can't just allow things to slide as though nothing happened. What an evíI friendship like those I once had.

Nobody in the neighbourhood in Otokutu knew Roseline had been allegedly kíIIed by these same friends she was living with. She was buried with no one to bid her goodbye and with no single bųríaI poster to honour her. Just two days in the morgue, the mørtųarƴ attendants demanded she be carried away to bury.

According to Rozzy, her friends were beefing her, but she still decided to travel with them for a catering job in Sapele where they were speaking their local language with this Yoruba girl, Rozzy, not understanding their conversation.

All of a sudden, she landed in a very big pot of boiling fresh pepper and tomatoes where they even still delayed in rescuing her. She was later rushed to Sage Hospital, by Estate in Warri, where they managed the situation, but my friend couldn't make it.

What pains me is that these two girls are still walking and gallivanting everywhere like nothing happened. I hate intimidation and oppression, especially against persons who are non-indigenes. No report to the police, no investigations, no arrest, nothing. The law is superior, a citizen is a citizen and posseses the full right of citizenship. Keep your "indigeneship" in your pocket, the police must smoke them out so they can face the law. Na God dey help who nor get helper.

We shall fight for Rozzy, you can not just be kíIIęɗ like a chicken and bųřried like an aŋímąl. Nobody deserves such a hørribIe dęąth. We never got to meet Rose, only chatting on Facebook due to endless busy schedules only to see you, at the most disgusting sight at Sage Hospital, hoping for your recovery, but dęąțĥ stole you.
