Featuring cultural performance, short Films and Music Exhibition in the Cinema, workshops and master classes for Developing Artists, the 3days music and Film festival also aimed at bringing together local and international artists From River state to celebrate diverse music and Film genres. The event targets Film and music supporters of all ages and aims to promote cultural exchange and appreciation of different musical and Film Genres among Rivers indigenes. This will not only reduce youth restiveness and idleness in Rivers Communities, but it will also create Job opportunity/ self-employed Job that will reduce Unemployment and perhaps make some talented Rivers youth to become millionaires in the trending digital space of Film and music production. Moreover, events like Music/Film Festival is a unique ability to bring national and international organization together, giving people a sense of ownership and pride in their local areas and also an opportunity to celebrate and embrace local diversity. After the Unveiling the opening Gala night for the Main Event of music and movie screening will commence on 5th February 2025, at the would be announce on Radio Venue, The Film festival will attract not only people From River state but enthusiasts who love Music and movie residing in Port Harcourt. The Rivers state indigenous Music & Film Festival is a special event of is kind, specially organized to tell the History, showcase the customs and traditions of River People, entertain, educate and celebrate artistic talents in all nooks and cranny of River states. With River State indigenous Film Festival, we will further investigate the myths and realities of our ancestors. At the end of the festival, the organizing committee and the panel will submit a proposed Directive for a new phase that would take Rivers state Music and Film industries to an enviable height. (RSIMFF) Panelist could be an actor, producer, Directors, academia's or an Ambassador, may or may not come from River State to Announce the Winning Local Government at the End of the indigenous Music and Film Festival, and The Committee Award and a cash prize will be issue to Best Local Government with the best Music/Movie, best Director, Best Artiste /Actors/Actress, and Best Picture and the best historical film or Music that depict Rivers Histories and cultural-heritage. There will be an Award for the best Rivers traditional Costume attire. The Rivers State indigenous Film Festival will fully sponsored and shoots a Full Length Netflix standard movie For the Best emerging Award movie of the Year, in the Short movie Category and a sponsorship for a Music Video and Recording of a full album for the emerging Winner for the Music Category. The Best Rivers Historical Movie Emerging Award Winner at the Festival will also get sponsorship for a full movie deal (RSIMFF) will also train and support young filmmakers in River state thereafter to make good full length movie in the subsequence edition.
