ADC: Presidency Knocks Amaechi, Malami, Sirika, Aregbeshola, Others
• Describes the former APC members as spent forces

By PHC Telegraph

The All Progressives Congress which has reaped huge political capital through the inflow of members of other political parties to its fold is struggling very hard through the Presidency to divert public attention from the loss of some political heavyweights to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

A statement by Bayo Onanuga, a Senior Special Adviser to the President claimed the APC would not mourn the departure of the bigwigs.

They are Rotimi Amaechi, Kashim Imam, Abubakar Malami, Hardi Sirika and Rauf Aregbeshola and Chief John Odigie Oyegun.

The Presidency claimed these persons associated with the APC who are united by their hate for the President have long left the party.

"Some members of the hijacked ADC, who were reported as members of the APC, left the APC years and months ago", Onanuga said in the statement.

Gov Otti: I'm Not Looking For Where To Decamp
By PHC Telegraph

As many governors all over the country are daily scrambling to empty into the All Progressives Congress in a strong bid to work for President Bola Tinubu, there is at least one Nigerian Governor that is saying "I'm not looking for where to decamp to."

That governor is the Governor of Abia State who was elected on the platform of the Labour Party, LP.

Refuting rumours suggesting that he is making serious moves to team up with the APC, Governor Alex Otti affirmed he has no plan whatsoever to leave the LP for any other political platform.

"I also have a right to state that I’m still a member of the Labour Party and I’m not looking for where to decamp to", Otti remarked.

"The second point", he went on as he cleared the air "is about coalition. People have been asking me, ‘Are you a member of the coalition?’ And my response is, have you seen my name?

PDP: Time To Turn The Table - Baraje
By PHC Telegraph

Abubakar Baraje, a major stakeholder and former National Secretary of the PDP has urged Nigerians disgruntled by the instability that exists within its ranks and file to give the party a chance to put its house in order.

Speaking as a guest on Tuesday's edition of the Morning Show on AriseTV, Baraje renowned in political circles for his role as an astute party administrator said the PDP is currently dealing with teething problems that have bedeviled its ability to speak with one voice.

Baraje who asked for the understanding of the Nigerian people, particularly the mass media, remarked it is too early to write off the PDP.

In response to a question, the Kwara-born politician noted that it is normal in political settings to have fifth columnists and black legs.

He argued that the existence of such elements provide political parties with the ingredients that they need to rebuild in times of crisis.

• Ibas has less than 48 hours left to supply details of proposed expenditure

By PHC Telegraph

Plans by Rear Admiral Ebok-Ete Ibas, Sole Administrator of the Rivers State, to turn the Rivers State Government House into a fortress watched by an unspecified number of spy cameras worth about N24 billion may have hit the rock.

The Ad-hoc Committee set up to oversee Rivers matters has raised a red flag over certain items of expenditure contained in the budget.

And asked the Cross River-born sole administrator whose regime has become embroiled in alleged financial scams to provide more information.

The Ad-hoc committee among other things, is demanding to know how the installation of spy cameras at the Rivers Government House will gulp a whopping sum of ₦24 billion belonging to Rivers people.

Ibas is also to provide information relating to funds released to his so-called appointees at the local government level.

Rivers: Awaiting The Return Of All Institutions Of Democracy
• Tinubu shots the gate of disagreement, opens the door to peace

By PHC Telegraph

As the clock ticks minute after minute, and millions of Rivers people and non indigenes wait in anticipation, there are very strong indications that Governor Siminalayi Fubara and members of the State House of Assembly who have been on suspension following the declaration of emergency rule will be returning any moment from now.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Thursday night met with the parties to the Rivers crisis to seal the peace deal and set the agenda for a new beginning.

The terms of understanding are not yet known, but going forward, leaders of elected democratic institutions in the oil-rich State would henceforth work together while the major gladiators have agreed to bury the hatchet.

Across Nigeria and across Rivers State, many are heaving sighs of relief as news of the President's intervention spreads.

Tinubu: Why We Formed NADECO During The Heady Days Of Military Rule
• Recalls the organisation's contributions to the fight for revalidation of the Abiola victory

By PHC Telegraph

The National Democratic Coalition (NADECO), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has explained, was set up to fight the military and restore democratic rule.

Speaking through Bayo Onanuga, a Special Senior Adviser, Tinubu shed light on key developments that shaped the fight and brought the nation together at a time of heightened military reppression.

"It (NADECO) was born on May 15, 1994", a statement which came in the wake of a potshot fired by Sule Lamido, a one-time Secretary of the Social Democratic Party said.

Lamido who is obviously spoiling for war denegraded Tinubu's contribution to the realisation of democratic rule, saying he was at best someone who tried to trade with the destiny of Nigerians.

APC: Wike's Supporters Placed On Red Alert
By PHC Telegraph

Signs that Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory may be winding up operations in the Peoples Democratic Party, are gradually emerging.

The Minister is expected to be on the way home to the APC any moment from now according to feelers that we are receiving.

Wike whose group recently asked the Peoples Democratic Party to allow the people of Southern Nigeria to produce its next presidential candidate, has been one of those allegedly responsible for the crisis within the former ruling party.

The PDP has not been able to reach any consensus on any matter since the crisis erupted after the elective convention in Abuja in 2022.

Every effort made between 2023 and 2025 to hold a NEC or NWC meeting to reconcile differences and map out the way forward has failed.
