The Day I Forgot There Was an Economics Test… and My Ancestors Watched in Silence
(A true story from the survival archives of girls’ school)
I entered class that morning feeling cute, neat socks, ironed uniform.
It felt like a peaceful day — no noise, no drama.
Until one babe muttered:
We have Economics test this morning oh, you don read?
Me: Omo i don die 😶😶😶
That’s when I knew I was finished.
Because see ehn — our Economic teacher does not play.
If it’s not EXACTLY what’s inside his notebook… just forget it.
Even the punctuation must match.
He once deducted marks because someone wrote “Explain briefly” instead of “State and explain” 😭
I just sat there quietly, thinking about my life. Weytin I wan read now...
Omo, within few minutes, he entered class like a soldier.
Didn’t greet. Just said:
“Test. 15 minutes. Answer everything.”
I opened the question paper.
First question I don't know it, I wanted to cry
Second one I sabi small, third one I sabi that one sha
The fourth and fifth one na God help me run those ones oh 🤣
I just wrote anything and even added examples for him oh 😄
Next week, results came out, I still passed sha 💃
He looked at me and said:
Next time, read your note.
Me: Yes sir 🫡
📌Moral of the story?
Never trust peace on a school day.
And if your teacher is mean, read like your life depends on it — because sometimes, it actually does.
School no easy😀
