*LUNCH HOUR WITH ABBA FATHER*

*THURSDAY JULY 27*

*WORK WHILE IT IS DAY*

*John 9:1-5*

_Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. 2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. 4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world._

Jesus must have been very busy during the three and a half years He engaged in active ministry. He knew His time on earth was short, so there was no waste of time and opportunity. This is the critical message in today’s passage.

When Jesus talked about the night coming when no man can work, He was talking about a time when He would leave the earth for eternity.
By this, He was telling His disciples that they too have limited time to do all that God would have them do in this life. If you have limited time, it means you must take advantage of every opportunity to do what you have to do.
We have several things we do that are valid and necessary for our continued existence and well-being in this life. In the midst of all these however, we must find time to serve God in whatever capacity He allows. In fact, the wise make God’s work priority and everything else falls in place. If you make God first, He makes your desire also first on His plan. What will happen if you are waiting for the most convenient time to serve God and it does not come, and one day you realize you have nothing to show to God for your life on earth?

*PRAYER*

1. Thank God for the opportunity He brings your way to serve Him.
2. Pray that you will not miss any of them but will be available to serve Him always.
3. Father, please help me busy myself with kingdom business every day of my life.

*DECLARATIONS*

I declare that my times and life are in God’s hands. As a custodian of time and every resource I have received from God, I use every one of them to serve God and the people of God. I declare that I will intentionally create opportunities to serve God with every breath that He has given me in the name of Jesus.

*DAWN HOUR DEVOTIONAL*

*SUNDAY , 23RD JULY, 2023*

*LOVING THE FATHER AND HIS KINGDOM*

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33.

Your life on earth is not only about what you will get from God, but also about what you can do for God. You must seek God’s heartbeat. Your needs must not be the only reason you draw closer to God. Seek God’s kingdom by asking God what you can do to populate His kingdom. Be an instrument for this end-time harvest of souls and make disciples.

When Paul encountered God on his way to Damascus, he asked God about his assignment. Acts 22:10 (AMP) ~ “And I asked, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord answered me, ‘Get up and go into Damascus. There you will be told all that is appointed and destined for you to do.” God desires a deeper walk with us. Talking to God should be a lifestyle. Where you become conscious of God’s presence such that you talk to Him frequently because you love Him.

Isaiah 26:9 (TPT) ~ “At night I yearn for you with all my heart; in the morning my spirit reaches out to you. When you display your judgments on the earth, people learn the ways of righteousness.” Sing songs with a grateful heart. Let God know that you appreciate Him. Colossians 3:16b (AMP) ~ “Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”

If you can praise God no matter what is going on in your life, then your relationship with Him is growing deep. Circumstances should not change your heart’s disposition before God. We can see our lives from God's perspective and discover what is important when we fellowship more with God. In His presence is where we understand who it is we belong to and believe in.

*PRAYER*

Father, I yearn for you daily. I avail myself for your use in Jesus’ name,

*AMEN*..

*DAILY WORDS OF JESUS*

*Saturday, 22nd July, 2023*

*Topic: COMMANDED SACRIFICIAL INSTRUCTIONS (2)*

*Bible Reading: Proverbs 14:12*

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

*Memory Verse*: _There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death._ *Proverbs 14:12 (KJV)*

There are people whom God have instructed to go for a marriage correction but they seem not bothered. Little wonder why the union is not as prosperous as it should be.

"Go for that professional training/certification", you keep complaining about money. Don't blame God when some offers pass you bye.

'Sow consistently into God's work in a particular ministry' may be your own sacrificial instruction, yet you are recalcitrant.

'Organize an open air crusade,” may be your own commanded instructions, but you never did and consequently your ministry did not manifest.

'Leave that job for the one I will show you'. You never did until you were sacked in your present job few years later. There's hardly anything called job security in this changing times. The one who knows tomorrow offered you a sure escape from joblessness but you didn't oblige.

*_How Do I Receive Divine Sacrificial Instructions?_*

*1.* Start with all the written instructions of God in the Bible. Start from the clearly written laws of the Scriptures.

*2.* Be attentive to the promptings/nudges/stirring of the Holy Spirit in your heart.

*3.* Daily service your personal altar in the place of your Quiet time.

*4.* Spiritual mentorship.

*5.* Surround yourself with spiritual things e.g. Christian audio & videos, Christian friends, etc. Keep the fire burning.

*6.* Be sensitive. For example, why should two people who are more experienced than you in your profession tell you the same thing at different times in the same season? Please reflect and reconsider your stand. Stay sensitive.

*QUOTE*

_If you are willing to obey, God is willing to speak._

*PROPHETIC DECREE*

May your heart pant after divine instructions as the deer pants after water, in Jesus name.

*PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Holy Spirit, please continue to reach out to me in a way that I will understand, in Jesus name.

2. My Father, please don't get tired of speaking to me, in Jesus name.

3. Let mercy prevail in the areas of my disobedience, in Jesus name.

4. I receive grace to travel back to the junction of disobedience in order to pick up destiny instructions, in Jesus name.

5. Holy Spirit, please conquer my will power. Help me to remain dead to self will, in Jesus name.

*THURSDAY. 20/JULY /2023*

*OBEDIENCE IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE*

1 SAM. 15:10-22

When the Israelites were escaping from Egypt, the Amalekites raided the weak and defenseless Israelites who were at the rear end of the procession. Because of this, God commanded that when the Israelites were established in Canaan, they were to wipe out the Amalekites (Exo. 17:6-8; Deut. 25:17-19). After the unprovoked attack at Rephidim, the Amalekites continued to attack the Israelites both before and after they entered and had settled in Canaan (Num. 14:45, Judg. 5:13). It was this people that Saul was commanded to destroy completely. God's instruction of Amalekites utter destruction was clearly given but Saul acted independently of those instructions. The saving of Agag and choice herd was in direct violation of God's instruction. Saul's story here is graphic and pathetic. He was victorious in the battle but got disqualified because of half obedience. Believers should take note of the fact that God is not interested in our sacrifice or service above our obedience. This is a timeless principle. Our relationship with God begins and is maintained by listening to God's instructions with our attitude and mind of obedience. No excuse will exonerate us before God.

*POINT OF EMPHASIS*

Religious service is not enough. Do the service, do the word.

*PRAYER*

In Jesus' name, I reject the Spirit of half obedience.

*AMEN*

*Shall we understand the fact that our God is the supreme Authority over the end of the world and He governs all the events of history both upon the earth and throughout the universe besides holding the destiny of the world?*

*Shall we understand the fact that our God is ready to carry out and execute the events, ready for the end time to begin and ready for the end of the world to be launched?*

*Shall we understand the fact that God is holding the book which was written on both sides showing that the events of the end time are many and that it will take a great deal of time besides He is going to reveal a great deal about the end time to us?*

*SATURDAY, JULY 8*

*BE TRUSTWORTHY*

*Proverbs 6:16-19*

_These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 a false witness who speaks lies, and one who sows discord among brethren._

This passage lists practices that will turn God’s anger on at any time. If someone exhibits these behaviors, the obvious question that would be asked is if the person is truly born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. From the passage, anyone who exhibits one or all of these cannot be trusted.
You must understand that when a person trusts you, they are literally leaving their lives in your hands. It does not mean that you have become a substitute for God. They are saying that they can trust that you will not do anything that will jeopardize their existence and life.

Trust is such a critical requirement for living that its absence or anything that suggests its absence makes living a bit uncertain. We take trust for granted until its absence is strongly exhibited. You walk to the roadside simply trusting that the taxi driver will be coming to work so you can jump in and go to work. What happens when you go to the roadside and there is no taxi?
When you make an appointment with someone for something that is critical to your life, there is an element of trust that the meeting will come on as scheduled to deliver all it is intended to. Without trust you will not leave your house and travel to the agreed venue for the meeting. How trustworthy are you before God and the people you live with? Every man must answer this for themselves.

*Prayer*
1. Thank God for the several occasions and ways that He has come through for you as promised.
2. Pray that you will cultivate trustworthiness with God and your fellow human beings.
3. Father, please help me to be transparent in my dealings with all in the name of Jesus’.

*DECLARATION*

I declare that I am learning from my heavenly Father to be as trustworthy as I am supposed to be. I put all my energies into taming the basal elements of my personhood. I bring them under the authority of the Holy Spirit. As the Holy Spirit broods over me, I shall develop integrity with which I shall live with God and people in the name of Jesus.

DAILY TREASURE

IMPURE HEART

" Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Matthew 5 : 8 KJV

To see God is to experience His goodness. The goodness of God is everything He represents as I AM, so if it's deliverance He becomes deliverance, if it's healing, He becomes healing. There's yet one thing that must be taken out of the way, that's an impure heart. The heart is the seat of your soul, it represents who you are deep deep down, it goes beyond your wry smiles to reveal your thoughts, feeling and wishes towards your fellow man.

Do you harbour unforgiviness, what about resentment, what of envy, how about jealousy. Do you wish somebody dead?
Do you despise people and say I am better than them? It's these deep conversations you hear with yourself the Lord listens to.
If they are impure, it blocks His salvation and help. Begin to exercise purity by controlling your thoughts, feeling and desires, then you can see God.

PRAYER
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer, Amen!

*STRENGTH FOR THE RACE*

“The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.” – Psalm 29:11.

Every automobile on a journey need refueling at some point to get to its destination. As believers on earth, we need the constant strength of God through the Holy Spirit to run our race. Isaiah 40:29 ~ “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.” Ephesians 3:16 (NLT) ~ “I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.”

Spiritual strength overcomes weariness and discouragement. In 1 Kings 19, Elijah was discouraged and even wished to die, but after God fed him thrice in the wilderness such that he was strengthened and travelled for forty days. 1 Kings 19:8 (NLT) ~ “So he got up and ate and drank, and the food gave him enough strength to travel forty days and forty nights to Mount Sinai.”

Sometimes athletes must run against the wind. And running against the wind presents more resistance which might slow down their speed. We need spiritual stamina to resist any windy situation around us in order not to slow our pace in our spiritual journey. The strength of God enables us to overcome all forms of temptation.

Strength from God leads to spiritual buoyancy. Our inner man is strengthened when we wait on the Lord. Isaiah 40:31 ~ “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Prayer and fasting empower our spiritual vitality.

*PRAYER*

Father, strengthen my inner man with power by your Spirit in Jesus’ name

*AMEN*

MORNING DEVOTION 🌄

20 JUNE 2023

SEEK THIS FIRST

There are a lot of things that reach for our attention. Our time is filled with people and responsibilities, with needs and desires, and these all take time.

In Jesus’ famous sermon in Matthew 6, He spends time talking about the various things in life that we give our attention to. Jesus tells us that instead of spending our time worrying about our basic desires in life, we should seek His Kingdom and His righteousness. If we do that, then everything else will be taken care of.

So what does it mean to seek God’s kingdom and God’s righteousness?

God’s kingdom is about God’s rule and reign over all of creation. His kingdom began in Jesus’ ministry on earth and is now expanding and continuing through the Church. The work of the kingdom is to continue to tell others about the hope of Jesus, and to teach all the things Jesus has commanded us.

To seek God’s righteousness is to desire to live the way God intended. It is to live according to God’s commands, which requires that we make decisions that align with God’s Word.

Jesus says that if we do these two things—seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness—then every other area of our life will make sense. When we don’t prioritize God’s desires for our life first, then we will end up worrying about things that are temporary.

Living a life according to God’s Word ought to be our greatest concern because God’s Kingdom will last eternally.

Think about how you spend your time. Do you worry about things that are outside of your control? Consider how you can live for God’s kingdom rather than the things of earth. In what ways can you reprioritize your life in order to seek righteousness? Rather than worrying about things in life you can’t control, pray for God to meet your needs.

MORNING DEVOTION 📚📚

15 JUNE 2023 📚📚📚📚📚

A REMINDER OF GOD’S ’s GOODNESS

Nahum’s letter to the people of Judah, in the southern part of Israel, is both a call for repentance and a letter of judgment. The northern tribes had already been exiled to Assyria, and the unfaithfulness of Judah was also leading them into exile.

There's a lot happening in Judah at this time. It's an era of national turmoil. The people have been unfaithful. But rather than focusing on the surrounding dangers or the cultural pressures, Nahum points the people back to the character of God, which never changes.

Nahum reminds us that God is good. Even though the world around Israel was changing rapidly, their God remained the same. He is always good. In the midst of every circumstance, we can trust God will never change but will always desire what is good for us.

Nahum continues to remind us that God is a refuge in the midst of difficult times. Because God is all-powerful, He will protect you from the dangers of this world.

Lastly, Nahum tells us that God cares for those who trust in Him. As you put your trust in God, He cares for and watches over your soul. While it can be difficult to trust God in uncertain times, Scripture tells us that it is the only way to true security.

Take some time today to consider your own life and the circumstances you’re in. Whether your situation is a good one or a bad one, remember these three truths:
God is good.
God is your refuge.
God cares for you when you trust in Him.

REMAIN BLESSED 🙌🏻 😇 🙏🏻
