* #. SOS :. ASALGA LP STAKEHOLDERS CALL FOR NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE(NWC) AND NATIONAL TRANSECTION COMMITTEE (NTC)* urgent intervention in Asari-Toru Local Government Area Labour Party primary.

To the National Working Committee of the Labour Party Nigeria, we, the concerned members and stakeholders of the Labour Party in Asari-Toru Local Government Area, earnestly appeal for your immediate intervention in the ongoing irregularities, illegalities, and aberrations within our local party structure. These actions, perpetrated and promoted by the Rivers State Chairman of the Labour Party, Hilda Dokubo, have severely undermined the integrity and democratic processes of our party in this region.

It is with deep concern that we report how Hilda Dokubo has been managing the Labour Party as a personal, private enterprise, showing no respect for the mandate of the people or the constituted authorities within the local government. The actions taken by her have disregarded the collective will of the Labour Party members in Asari-Toru and have instead turned our party into a tool for personal gain.

On the 3rd of August, a notice was issued to all ward chairmen and stakeholders within Asari-Toru Local Government Area, instructing us to conduct primary elections for the upcoming October 5th general elections, as directed by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC). In accordance with this directive, seven delegates were nominated from each ward to participate in the election of the LGA chairmanship candidate.

The primary election was conducted transparently at the Labour Party Secretariat in Buguma, with delegates from the 13 wards casting their votes in an open secret ballot. At the end of the election, Mr Charles Inko-Tariah, received 64 votes, while the other contend John Benson, received 22 votes.Mr Charles Inko Tariah with 64 vote was officially declared the winner by the LGA Chairman, Mr. Mac-Jay. NWC OF LABOUR PARTY SAVE ASARI-TORU CHAPTER. SOS,,,Hilda Dokubo Submit candidate that never contested primary election to RISEC for screening.,,,,,,My name is Charles Inko-Tariah, a proud member of the Labour Party and a dedicated aspirant for the chairmanship of Asari-Toru Local Government Area. On the 28th of July, 2024, in adherence to the guidelines set by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), I purchased a form to contest in the forthcoming local government election. I have worked tirelessly to bridge gaps between aggrieved members, encourage participation, and promote a spirit of unity within the party.,,However, on the 20th of August, at 4:00 AM, I received an unexpected and alarming message: the results of the 3rd of August primaries were being annulled, and a re-election was scheduled to take place at V Hotel in Port Harcourt on the 27th of August. This decision came as a complete shock, as there had been no petitions, protests, or justifiable reasons provided for nullifying the initial election. Even more concerning was the introduction of a new aspirant—someone who had not b

Think CHARLES INKO-TARIAH, Think ‘True Leadership':

Asalgans, in today's fast pace and ever evolving world, the concept of leadership has most significantly undergone evolutionary change. True leadership is not merely about holding positions of power; it’s about rendering selfless service to your people, total commitment to inspiring others, and fostering a culture of growth, innovation and empowering others to achieve a shared vision.

Whether you're managing a small team, multinational corporation or a society, the qualities of a true leader remains vital to achieving a sustainable success.

5th October, 2024 is sacrosanct according to RSIEC, let's give a tested, trusted and approved leader a chance.

Great people of Asalga, the time is CHARLES o' clock!!!
