TITLE: “Acclaimed”
Poem by BrilliantParl
If I will ride to hell
Heaven will not let me
If I choose to do evil
Heaven will not let me
If I try to shun it all up
Again, Heaven will not let me
Why must the ghost of my past and present be one?
Why wouldn’t the past stay buried?!
Why must I choose,
And Heaven refuse?
It gets deeper, harder and stranger
And Heaven smile at me
Yet it won’t get any shallow, simpler and familiar
I must hide away from the Sun
But the Moon will tell of my location
The night is a disguise,
For my watchful Angels
The stars are their fancy Binoculars
The breeze their motion spyware
Oh! Heaven wrote my name in stone
Wherefore will I hide and sin?
Wherefore will I go and stay bad?
When will my voiceless conscience stop talking loud?
If only I could taste a little evil
Then I may choose a path for change
And know that the choice is mine.
