H.E. WIKE is our leader, he gave us all, the political platform we are standing on today.

Even if another disagreement crops up tomorrow, we will sue for peace, it will be resolved, and we shall remain one big political family.

The police in Rivers state have arrested some youths in the state for attempting to attack the official residence of Martins Amaewhule, the Speaker leading the 24 members of the House of Assembly opposed to Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The angry youths stormed Amaewhule’s private residence at the Old GRA in Port Harcourt and tried to pull down the gate. They were however repelled by armed security operatives, who rushed to the area to save the situation and allegedly fired gunshots before arresting some of the youths.

WIKE OPENS UP ON RIVERS POLITICAL CRISIS..says every politician has his own interests

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), NYESOM WIKE says the political crisis in Rivers State is an affairs of the PDP, disclosing that the party was looking into it.

WIKE, who is immediate past governor of Rivers State is fingered as one orchestrating the crisis, particularly the impeachment plot against his successor, Sir SIMINALAYI FUBARA.

Most of the state lawmakers are believed to be loyal to WIKE, who helped to install FUBARA.

WIKE, in a video uploaded on X by Channels TV, said the crisis in Rivers was not about ethnicity.

According to him: “It is a party affair, the party knows how to resolve their own…. It is not an ethnic affair", WIKE told a delegation of South-South leaders who visited him on Tuesday in Abuja.

“Our party is looking into it. That is what I will say. Every politician has his own interest,” he summed up.
