✨ My Experience as a Fashion Designer ✨
Recently, a client gave me a very big task—sewing clothes for about 50 people for her mother’s burial. She even asked me to sew the outfit for her late mother.
At first, I was scared. I wasn’t sure I could meet up, so I told her I might not be able to deliver everything. Most of the measurements were sent to me, some styles she picked, and some I created myself.
She didn’t tell me the exact burial date at first—she said it was much closer than it really was (you know how clients can be 😅). But I worked hard, and by God’s grace, I delivered before the agreed date. She was amazed—because she knows I always deliver, but with such a huge project, she wasn’t so sure at first.I gave her the remaining 4 yards she asked me to make an outfit for myself and I could wear it to the burial if I'm chanced.I thanked her
Then she reminded me about sewing her mother’s cloth. This time, she pleaded with me. I told her honestly that I had never made that kind of outfit before. She even explained how to, but my heart wasn’t settled. I didn’t want to make mistakes with something so delicate and important, so I refused.
It’s been about 2 weeks now, and I’ve been thinking about it. I feel bad for not doing it, but at that moment, my spirit wasn’t ready.
👉 What do you think—was I wrong for saying no, or was I right to follow my heart?
👉 And have you ever sewn clothes for someone who has passed away?
