Things You Should Not Tolerate From Your Children

Love your child deeply. Understand them patiently. But do not confuse love with tolerance for disrespect or bad behavior.

Because one day, the habits you ignore will become the character they carry into the world.

Do not tolerate:

Disrespect. Teach them to speak with kindness, even when they’re upset.

Dishonesty. Let them know that truth builds trust, and trust is the foundation of every relationship.

Entitlement. Remind them that gratitude is more powerful than “give me.”

Rudeness. Whether it’s toward siblings, teachers, or elders—respect must start at home.

Avoiding responsibility. Don’t do everything for them. Let them clean up, help out, and learn accountability.

Laziness in effort. Teach them that doing their best matters more than being the best.

Unkindness. Never let them laugh at someone else’s pain or difference.

Parenting isn’t about controlling your child—it’s about guiding them toward self-control.
You are not raising a child for today.
You are raising a future adult who will one day live, love, and lead in the world.

Boundaries are not cruelty.
They are love in action.
