EDITH & SUNDAY TIED THE RAFFIA...
Marriage is the golden ring in a chained love, which unfold the most precious and enduring symbol of a couple's love.
The Okuru-kaka marital rite between Edith and Sunday signifies a deep and lasting commitment with the "chain" representing the continuous journey of love and partnership.
The groom Mr. Sunday sojourn with his kingsmen to Kalio -ama community for the Okuru-kaka ceremony on Saturday 7th June 2025.
The Raffia was tied in the presence of many witnesses, which symbolizes each other commitment and bond until death. In wakirike kingdom of ijaw clan, it is believed that every lady must "Tie the Okuru" only once in their lifetime and cannot remarry.
Grand reception was put together by the couple at Everest event centre Abam -ama, Okrika. It was fun, entertaining and pleasurable with presence of high ranking traditional rulers, political elites, CEO' of industries and eminent personalities.
The love that exists between Edith and Sunday is the willingness to stand for each other in all circumstances. Today they have decides to live their lives together overlooking each others weakness and become the comfort on which strength is built to overcome weakness. Unconditional love is not rhetoric but demonstration of ones commitment to stand by the other and offer him/herself as sacrifice to see the happiness of the other.
