"I go to work everyday by 5:30am. To close by 6:00pm and sometimes 7 and or even 8pm. I asked my boss why? And he said that's the only way we can meet up to his monthly target." Said this guy I met.
HOW DID I FIND MYSELF PUSHING SOMEONE ELSE'S DREAM?
I asked myself this question recently.
Then I realized that
Most of us didn't plan for it.
From childhood, we were taught to go to school, get a job, work hard, and build a career.
Before we knew it, we were helping someone else achieve their vision.
And to me, there's nothing wrong with that.
In fact, someone else's vision can become the classroom where you learn discipline, leadership, excellence, and responsibility.
The problem isn't working for someone.
The problem is forgetting to work on yourself.
Imagine spending twenty years building a house you'll never live in.
Wouldn't you also want to lay a few blocks for your own?
While you're helping your employer grow the company.
Grow yourself.
While you're helping your boss achieve targets...
Develop your own skills.
While you're making someone else's dream profitable.
Don't abandon the dream God placed in your own heart.
One day, your current job may become the testimony of where you learned the lessons that built your future.
Because if every day makes you wiser, more skilled, more disciplined, and more valuable.
Then you aren't just building someone else's dream.
You're quietly preparing for your own.
